Dog Walking in Warren

In the northeastern part of the 7th most populous state, Ohio, lies the city of Warren, at a distance of roughly 14 miles from Youngstown. Warren, Ohio, has been around for ages. Many of the older buildings are still erect and visible as of today. The historical heart of Warren is, however not the only reason why the town is well-liked. The magnificent sceneries and natural beauty that one can enjoy in the Warren area are a convincing argument as well.

A great example of the perks of living in Warren, Ohio, for both nature lovers and dog fans is the Western Reserve Greenway. This 43-mile trail starts in Ashtabula and ends in Warren. There are plans to extend the route all the way to Lake Erie. The greenway is not only an excellent way to enjoy the landscape of Warren but also perfect to walk the dogs.

Warren, Ohio, does not have its own off-leash dog park at this moment. The Cooperation Station Dog Park, however, is a great alternative located in the Mosquito Lake State Park in Cortland. The dog park consists of two playgrounds, including one area just for small dogs, benches, water fountains and even a beach so dogs can take a dive.

The city also accommodates to people coming over for a short stay. Pet-friendly hotels include brands as Americas Best Value Inn, Avalon Resort and Spa and Fairfield Inn.

Take laps around the track with your leashed furry friend, or explore one of the hiking trails. Follow the Howland Boardwalk Nature and let your canine pal enjoy some beautiful scenery. Their shelves are stocked with top of the  line food, treats, supplements and accessories.  You’ll find a vast assortment of raw and natural products. This shop also doubles as a DIY Dog Wash. Come use the natural pet care products and washing stations to give your fur baby a good scrubbing. Once your pup is sparkling clean, head over to the nearby Packard Park for some exercise.  Your pooch will have a pupperific time walking down the paved trail while enjoying views of the Mahoning River.
