North Newcastle

Visit Newcastle’s largest park in the North Newcastle neighborhood! At 25 acres, Veterans Park offers lots of space for you and your leashed pooch to roam. There is a walking path where you and your pup can do some laps and work up a sweat, plus lots of grass. For kiddos, there’s a basketball court and a playground. Veterans Park also has picnic tables, athletic fields and restrooms. Nearby, you and your pup can also check out Puckett Park! Located next to the Newcastle Police Department, Puckett Park has two acres of lush grassy green lawn with a fountain, woofderful trees and picnic tables.

South Oklahoma City

You and your pup don’t have to travel far to have fun in a huge park! Just eight miles from Newcastle in the South Oklahoma City neighborhood, you and your leashed pup will have a pawsome time exploring the 158 acres at South Lakes Park! You and Fido will love going for a jaunt on the park’s paved trail that loops around the entire acreage. There is also a grass playfield where you and your pooch can romp, a playground for kiddos, plus a fishing pond! About nine miles from Newcastle, this low key residential neighborhood is the home of Merrel Medley Park, a sizeable community green space with lots of grass where you and your leashed pup can play or relax. There’s lots of trees to sniff, plus a creek that flows through this woofderful open space. Merrel Medley Park also has a paved walking path that makes two adjoining loops around the park. Also in this residential neighborhood, you can take a walk with your furry friend on the paved trail around the pond located at the east end of Katie Beth Lane.
