Dog walking in Del City

Lakehurst

Just south of Oklahoma City's Lakehurst neighborhood, you'll find the Paw OK Dog Park, which is 20 minutes from Del City. This spacious park includes a section for senior dogs and dogs under 30 pounds, as well as a section just for big doggos. There's a six-foot high fence surrounding the park, and it also has a double-gated entry system for added security. The park is open every day from dawn to dusk, and it includes drinking water for dogs, plenty of waste clean-up amenities, seating, and shade. The northern section of the dog park has access to Duck Pond, and there is even a fine-grade gravel beach so dogs can enjoy the water.

Southwest Edmond

Just 20 minutes north of Del City, in the southwestern corner of Edmond, Oklahoma, you'll find the Edmond Dog Park at Bickham-Rudkin Park. Bickham-Rudkin Park is a 49-acre park with playgrounds, a fishing pond, walking trails, and pavilions in addition to its five-acre dog park. This large dog park is well-maintained and features a separate small dog area, seating, lots of shade and trees, and waste bag stations. There is also water access in the dog park so your pup can take a dip in the pond. Your dog can also join you on the walking trails in the park, but they must be on a leash when you're not in the dog park.

First Courthouse

The city of Norman, Oklahoma is 15 miles south of Del City, and on the western side of the city sits the Norman Community Dog Park at Griffin Park. Griffin Park is a large community park with a disc golf course, walking trails, sports fields, a playground, and a two-acre dog park. The dog park has a section for dogs under 30 pounds, as well as an area for bigger dogs. It also features waste bag stations, and there is running drinking water for dogs during the warm months. There's also a pond right near the dog park where you'll find pups cooling off or playing a game of fetch in the water.

East Reno Avenue

One of the most fun dog parks near Del City is only five miles, or a ten-minute drive, away in Midwest City, Oklahoma! Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park is right in the heart of Midwest City, and this three-acre dog park features big and small dog sections, as well as a third section with a concrete water pond where dogs can swim. The park is spacious and lush, and there are covered entrances to provide shade, as well as plenty of trees throughout the park. Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park opened in 2012, and it also features waste disposal stations, dog wash stations, and drinking water for dogs during the warm months of the year.

North Mustang

Mustang is a city in Oklahoma with a population of more than 20,000, and it's about 20 miles west of Del City. In the northern-central section of Mustang sits the Mustang Dog Park. This dog park has a whole bunch of room for dogs to run around and socialize, and it includes big and small dog sections so dogs can play with other pups who are similar in size. Mustang Dog Park has agility equipment where adventurous dogs can showcase their skills, and there are also hills and tunnels for them to run on. During the summer months, there are pools set up for dogs to cool off in, and there are also waste disposal stations, seating, and water spigots.
