West Sutherlin
The Sutherlin Dog Park is ruffly 37 miles from Cottage Grove, but it has everything you and your pup need to have a pawesome time. There are separate areas for smaller dogs and bigger dogs. Water is available for your pooch. Doggie waste bags also are provided, so all you need to bring with you is your furry friend and plenty of energy to play! If you want to relax, you can take a seat at one of the many picnic benches scattered throughout the park. The small town is a great place to meet other dog lovers, and it’s a furrific way for your four-legged friend to socialize too!

Eugene
Located about 18 miles north of Cottage Grove, Mount Pisgah Trail will satisfy both your and your pup’s need for adventure. This easy-to-moderate trail spans about 7.8 miles, which takes about two-and-a-half hours to walk. March through November is the best time to go. While on the trail, you can experience vast grasslands and wildflowers of the Willamette Valley. Just remember to keep your dog on a leash while exploring the main trails and under firm voice control on the other trails. Don’t forget to clean up after him, too. The park strictly prohibits you from letting your pooch harass wildlife.

Row River Rd
The Row River Trail in Cottage Grove (BLM) is a part of 1,600 rail-trails maintained by the supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit that works to repurpose old railways into walking and biking trails. Located about 6 miles from downtown Cottage Grove, the asphalt trail runs 16 miles along the beautiful Dorena Lake, where you and your pooch are likely to see songbirds, black-tailed deer, waterfowl and other wildlife. You’ll also pass historic sawmills and covered bridges. Picnicking is also offered at several parks along the trail, in case you and your pup get hungry. Just remember to keep your pooch on a leash.

Main Street
Brew Station and Coast Fork Feed is a unique local hotspot. It’s a pup-friendly restaurant with outdoor seating for you and your pooch, but it’s also more than that. Located right off Main Street, the family-owned business offers animal feed, housewares, beekeeping supplies, and brewing and fermentation equipment. Their taproom provides you with 12 local brews and a variety of international brews, ciders, and craft bottles. On Friday and Saturday nights, they feature local live music. You can also join one of their bingo or chess clubs, or attend their monthly brewers guild meetings. See their calendar for their list of events.

East Main Street
Axe and Fiddle is the place to go if you’re feelin’ like some pub food and quality time with your pup. Resting in the heart of historic Cottage Grove, this local favorite serves classic American foods and offers microbrews and a full bar. Your pup is welcome at one of the dog-friendly tables outside. Not only does Axe and Fiddle serve up great cuisine, but they also are passionate about bringing people together through the arts. They regularly bring in live music and host open mic nights, along with poetry nights. This Fido-friendly spot is open seven days a week.
