I've been a dog walker and sitter for about 4 years including both professionally and through shelters. I'm happy to take your pup either to a park or on a more secluded route, depending on how the walk goes. Also, I love taking pictures of dogs on their walk!

“Happy to walk all breeds, all day, in all weather!”

I am a firm believer that a well-exercised, socialized dog is a happy dog! I love being outside in all weather to help dogs get the exercise and socialization they need so that they can rest comfortably while you are away from them. I am a mother to four active boys who are all in school, so my schedule is very flexible. I am reliable, loyal and will love on your dog the whole time I am with them. I am a lover of Annie, our goldendoodle, and take her running, walking and hiking everyday.

Hello. My name is Laura, and I love animals! Dogs in particular hold a special place in my heart. I have experience with dogs of every size and temperament, and one of my current pups even uses a wheelchair and/or sling on our walks, so I'm familiar with handicaps! I am never more content or happy than when I'm spending time with dogs and basking in their infectious energy and optimism. I love being active outdoors; I'm not afraid to get dirty or cold, and I would be delighted to walk, hike, or run around with your dog(s)!

“Nathan the Leashanded”

Hello! I used to walk for WAG! full-time, in the Seattle area, before COVID emerged last March. I miss it it so much! I am originally from New York. I grew up with a black Golden Doodle called Lyla. She's not around anymore; but, my sister has a Doodle now (Rey) and my parents have an adorable Bernadoodle puppy, all to themselves (Bella)! I'm hoping to pick up a few walks in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Dog Walking in Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove is a city of about 10,000 in western Oregon. As the third-largest city in Lane County, it’s near many dog-friendly amenities, including nearly eighty veterinarians within thirty miles.

Just twenty-five miles north of Cottage Grove, several dog parks can be found in Eugene, OR. One of the most popular is the Alton Baker Park Off-Leash Area. This park is complete with two separate sides and two mini pools for pups to enjoy on a hot day. There is also Candlelight Park: this 3.5-acre play area is fully fenced and offers plenty of street parking.

For some more adventurous fun in Eugene, check out the Spencer Butte hike (part of the Ridgeline Trail System). This trail is only a few miles long depending on where you start, and leashed dogs are welcome. Also part of the Ridgeline System is Ridgeline Trails. This network of hiking trails has no picnic areas, making it a more rugged stop for serious nature lovers, both human and canine.

If you’re in the mood for a bite to eat in the local community, check out Jack Sprats. This restaurant tucked away in Cottage Grove serves pub food like jalapeño poppers, pork nachos, onion rings, and much more; they can also accommodate gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Pups are welcome on their outdoor patio.

Located about 18 miles north of Cottage Grove, Mount Pisgah Trail will satisfy both your and your pup’s need for adventure. This easy-to-moderate trail spans about 7.8 miles, which takes about two-and-a-half hours to walk. March through November is the best time to go. While on the trail, you can experience vast grasslands and wildflowers of the Willamette Valley. Just remember to keep your dog on a leash while exploring the main trails and under firm voice control on the other trails. Don’t forget to clean up after him, too. The park strictly prohibits you from letting your pooch harass wildlife.
