If you are looking for a great spot to walk Fido, check out Amazon Dog Park in the cozy Southeast neighborhood. This park is located in the large Amazon Park, and features a 3 acre off leash area for dogs of all sizes, and a ½ acre area just for smaller dogs. You will find drinking fountains, benches and even a wash down station if Fido makes a mess. Your pooch will love chasing a ball or socializing with the other dogs in the park while owners chat about their furry family members. When it’s time for a snack, check out the baked goods at Hideaway Bakery. This friendly restaurant welcomes Fido at the outdoor tables when the weather in nice.

West Eugene
Candlelight Dog Park, in the West Eugene neighborhood, offers a variety of pawtastic activities. The park is 12 acres that includes a 3.5-acre dog park with two connected areas. Fido will love running wild with his pooch friends or playing a game of fetch with his favorite toy. There is a pedestrian and bike path near the dog park in addition to picnic tables and a play area for the kids. Benches are also available for puppy parents needing a break while the pups play. If it has been a raining week, make sure to wear your boots and bring a towel to wash off Fido’s feet, as the park has been known to be muddy after a rain.

Alton Baker Dog Park in the Harlow Neighborhood is a valuable addition to the main park. Fido will be able to spend hours chasing his favorite ball in the off-leash area and socialize with doggy friends while enjoying the sunshine. The 27-acre farm not only features a large off-leash dog area, but also a historic house, natural wooded area, and a meadow. Guests are asked to observe the “scoop” law in the park to keep the grassy area clean for everyone. The entire family will enjoy day spent with Fido, a picnic lunch, and many games of frisbee with the pooch. Once you have run off all that energy, travel over to Newman’s Fish Co for the delicious catch of the day and your pooch can enjoy himself at the outdoor patio tables.
