Paddling pups love Lebanon’s S Santiam Hwy/ Weirich Dr neighborhood! About six miles from Waterloo, the neighborhood’s Cheadle Lake Park has tons of fun things to do with your leashed dog! There’s a woofderful boat dock where you can launch a kayak or canoe and paddle the lake’s calm waters with your pooch. Prefer to stay on dry land? Check out the 1.32-mile North Shore Trail and take in the water views as you and your leashed dog explore the shoreline. The park also has a fishing dock, mature trees, lots of grass and benches, making it a pawsome spot to hang out with your furry friend.

Green Acres

There’s furrific family fun in Lebanon’s Green Acres neighborhood, about six miles from Waterloo! The neighborhood is home to Century Park, where you and your leashed four-legged friend can take a walk and play in the park’s huge grassy lawn, or on the paved sidewalk that meanders around the perimeter. Century Park also has two playgrounds, one for toddlers and another for older kiddos, plus a baseball diamond, tennis and basketball courts. Picnicking is a pawpular activity in this park, as there are several tables under a large pavilion and tons of shady trees. Century Park also has restrooms and drinking fountains.

East Lebanon

Looking for a serene backdrop for a walk with your leashed pooch? Visit the East Lebanon neighborhood! About six miles from Waterloo, East Lebanon’s Ralston Park is a pawsome place for a jaunt. You and your pup will love exploring the Santiam Canal that runs through the park. There’s tons of lush grass and mature trees, plus benches near the waterway. Be sure to check out the beautiful rose garden and the gazebo at Ralston Park, too! There are restrooms available at this neighborhood park. For more pawsome fun, check out the nearby Booth Park, where leashed dogs are welcome.

Vaughnville

If you’re in search of a puptacular park, head to Lebanon’s Vaughnville neighborhood, about six miles from Waterloo! The Vaughnville neighborhood’s Christopher Columbus Park is understandably pawpular among locals for its huge playfields and updated playground equipment. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, this park is a furrific place to bring Fido and the family. Your pooch will love exercising and sniffing every inch of the park’s large grassy area and mature trees. For another pawsome place to walk with your leashed dog, stroll on the paved sidewalk that runs along the park’s perimeter. Christopher Columbus Park also has woofderful picnicking facilities, with covered tables and restrooms.

Cascadia/ Lacomb

Get back to nature with your furry friend and visit Lebanon’s Cascadia/ Lacomb neighborhood, about seven miles from Waterloo. The area is home to a woofderful recreation spot at McDowell Creek Falls. Regarded as a hidden gem, this county park’s McDowell Creek has crystal clear waters fed by the Royal Terrace and Majestic Falls. You and your leashed dog can take in the stunning views from the park’s bridges and observation decks that you’ll encounter on the three-mile hiking trail that meanders through this lush green forest. There are pools below the falls, where picnicking, wading, swimming and fishing are pawpular activities.
