Dog Areas in Tangent

1 Park
Seven miles south of Albany, you’ll find the grass seed capital of the world, otherwise known as Tangent, Oregon! Situated in the central part of the Willamette Valley, Tangent’s fertile growing soil and temperate climate made it an inviting place for ancient Native Americans and early settlers. Tangent expanded heavily in 1871 when railroad construction swept through the valley. Today, Tangent is still dotted with historic buildings, including the original Tangent train depot which is now a residence.

Dogs and their owners love walking in Tangent’s Pioneer Park. This well-kept open space in the heart of town is a great place for some exercise with Fido. There’s also restrooms, basketball hoops and a playground for kiddos. Leashed dogs are welcome in the park as long as you cleanup after them.

Whether your pup needs urgent medical attention or just a check-up, you’ll find all the veterinary services you need just down the road at one of Albany’s 10 veterinary clinics.

If you and your four-legged friend need overnight accommodations, the Phoenix Inn Suites Albany, just 6.5 miles from Tangent has pawsome updated, clean rooms. There is an additional fee for furry guests.

There’s no doubt about it! Tangent pups and their people enjoy the best of both worlds – small town life, with big city perks just a short drive away in Albany!
