Albany City Center
Parks upon parks is what you’ll find in Albany’s City Center neighborhood, about seven miles from Tangent. Your pup will love a walk in the 26 acres at Bowman Park. This beautiful park has tons of mature trees and a nature trail for you and Fido to explore. There’s also a picnic pavilion with barbecue grills, Willamette River access, a boat ramp, and restrooms. Bowman Park also has access to the 1.5-mile Dave Clark Trail that meanders along the river, making it a woofderful, scenic spot for a walk. There are two other quiet, smaller neighborhood parks – Swanson Park and Burkhart Park – where you and your pup can enjoy some quality outdoor time together.36

Columbus St SE/ Grand Prairie Rd SE
A puptacular walk awaits you and your dog in this Albany neighborhood, about seven miles from Tangent! Leash your pooch and start your adventure on the Periwinkle Creek Trail that begins at the neighborhood’s 10-acre Grand Prairie Park. This 1.8-mile paved multi-use trail meanders through residential areas and greenways as it follows its namesake creek. Along the way, the path runs through Periwinkle Park, a pawsome seven-acre park with great picnic spots under the mature trees and next to the creek. This neighborhood is also the home of Deerfield Park, a furrific place for you and your dog to relax in the great outdoors. Deerfield Park has a bike path, barbecue grills, athletic fields, a playground and seasonal restrooms.24

Columbus St SE/ Moraga Ave SE
Locals love this Albany neighborhood for its Draper Park, about seven miles from Tangent. This five-acre park has a serene feel as huge mature trees border it from the streets.
