Veneta is a small rural community on Fern Ridge Lake near the bigger town of Eugene, and was named after the five-year-old daughter of the founder, Veneta Hunter Vincent. Veneta is most noted as the site of the annual Oregon Country Fair, originally called the Renaissance Faire. Veneta Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary House Call Service are ready to look after your pooch for any medical needs.

Your pup will love a swim in Fern Ridge Lake at Perkins Peninsula Park, or a leashed walk in the grassy open space. Take a pawsome walk in Jean Park, a quiet little park at the end of a peninsula with lots of large trees and water access for a swim before returning home.  Enjoy the 7-acre Veneta City Park with plenty of space to wander. The quarter-mile looping walk and jog path of Territorial Park welcomes leashed pups out for a jaunt in the fresh air.

Visit dog-friendly Valhalla Winery to enjoy their selection of wines after a picturesque walk through the vineyards. Come by on Friday where you'll find the added feature of awesome food trucks and a live band to listen to where you and your pooch enjoy the open-air facilities. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Veneta and its parks for a time of relaxation and renewal with Fido.
