Downtown Depoe Bay
Need a new place to walk your dog? Depoe Bay is a pupperific coastal town just 10 minutes south of Lincoln Beach. Enjoy the picturesque fishing village scenery as you walk your pup around the harbor. Meander down the main stretch of shops and enjoy uninhibited views of the Pacific Ocean. If your pup needs to rest his paws, stop by Whale Park and relax on one of the benches. A pod of grey whales lives just off the shore of Depoe Bay 10 months out of the year, which makes this one of the best places in the area to whale watch.

Otter Rock
If your furry friend is curious about sea creatures, then a trip to Otter Rock is a must. Just 15 minutes from Lincoln Beach, it’s home to the Otter Rock Marine Gardens. This one mile stretch of beach is chock full of tidepools and marine life. Wander around the rocks so your pup can see octopus, sea urchins, starfish, anemones, and much more. If he’s not a rock hopper, walk along the sandy beach so he can get some exercise. Devil’s Punchbowl State Natural Area is also nearby. Check out this natural phenomenon before following a side trail down to a beach. This is a pupular surfing spot, so your pooch can watch the surfers ride the waves as he romps around the sand.

Cutler City
This Lincoln City neighborhood is nestled right on the Siletz River and is 10 minutes from Lincoln Beach. It’s home to the Cutler City Wetlands Nature Trail. Leash up your pup and delve into the thick forest for a pawsome hike. You’ll feel miles away as you pass through lush ferns, rhododendron and huckleberry thickets, and tall Sitka spruce. Follow a short spur trail to a pond and let your pup rest her paws for a bit. The trail is flat and clocks in at just under a mile. It’s also a great spot for bird watching. Be sure to bring plenty of water and clean up bags.

Taft Historic District
Treat your dog to a walk in Taft Waterfront Park. Situated in Lincoln City, this park is about 10 minutes from Lincoln Beach. Your furry BFF can stretch her legs as she trots through this scenic natural space. With beach access, a fishing dock, and covered picnic facilities, this park is a great place to spend the afternoon with your pup. Siletz Bay Park is another furrific spot for walking your pal. This is a pupular spot with the locals, so your pooch will have ample opportunity to socialize. Stroll along the sandy beach and let her search for the perfect piece of driftwood, or try clamming when the tide goes out.

Nelscott
The Agnes Creek Open Space is calling your pup’s name. Clip on his leash and stop by this furrific area for a hike that will make his tail wag. Located in Lincoln City, the trailhead is about 15 minutes from Lincoln Beach. A .75 mile loop winds through the property and leads you through forests of Sitka spruce and hemlock. Your pup will definitely get his fill of Mother Nature as he strolls along the path. After your hike, head over to Nelscott Café for some delicious grub. This furrific place even has a dog menu! Your pooch can devour a grilled chicken breast, hamburger patty, or a slice of ham with cheddar.
