Need a new place to walk your dog? Depoe Bay is a pupperific coastal town just 10 minutes south of Lincoln Beach. Enjoy the picturesque fishing village scenery as you walk your pup around the harbor. Meander down the main stretch of shops and enjoy uninhibited views of the Pacific Ocean. If your pup needs to rest his paws, stop by Whale Park and relax on one of the benches. A pod of grey whales lives just off the shore of Depoe Bay 10 months out of the year, which makes this one of the best places in the area to whale watch.

Otter Rock

If your furry friend is curious about sea creatures, then a trip to Otter Rock is a must. Just 15 minutes from Lincoln Beach, it’s home to the Otter Rock Marine Gardens. This one mile stretch of beach is chock full of tidepools and marine life. Wander around the rocks so your pup can see octopus, sea urchins, starfish, anemones, and much more. If he’s not a rock hopper, walk along the sandy beach so he can get some exercise. Devil’s Punchbowl State Natural Area is also nearby. Check out this natural phenomenon before following a side trail down to a beach. This is a pupular surfing spot, so your pooch can watch the surfers ride the waves as he romps around the sand.

Cutler City

This Lincoln City neighborhood is nestled right on the Siletz River and is 10 minutes from Lincoln Beach. It’s home to the Cutler City Wetlands Nature Trail. Leash up your pup and delve into the thick forest for a pawsome hike. You’ll feel miles away as you pass through lush ferns, rhododendron and huckleberry thickets, and tall Sitka spruce. Follow a short spur trail to a pond and let your pup rest her paws for a bit. The trail is flat and clocks in at just under a mile. It’s also a great spot for bird watching. Be sure to bring plenty of water and clean up bags.

Located in Lincoln City, the trailhead is about 15 minutes from Lincoln Beach. A .75 mile loop winds through the property and leads you through forests of Sitka spruce and hemlock.
