When you want to stretch your legs, head over to New Galilee Community Park. You can walk through the woods along Jordan Run or jog on the trail that circles the open field in this 19-acre facility. There are tables and benches where you can relax with your pup. Bring along some lunch and enjoy a picnic in the park. Make sure you keep your dog under control and that you pick up any waste while visiting this area.

Just north of New Galilee, dogs and their owners can enjoy walks past forest and country fields in the borough of New Beaver. One pawtacular place to take your pup is to the State Game Lands Number 148 off Possum Hollow Road. This 575-acre area includes almost two miles of trail through mixed hardwood. Bring your pooch hunting or take a hike and look for wildlife in this area. Dogs are permitted to join you in the facility provided they're under your control and you pick up their waste. Be sure to check with the Pennsylvania Game Commission about use restrictions and precautions during pheasant and deer hunting seasons.

Big Beaver

Big Beaver

The rural borough of Big Beaver surrounds New Galilee. This area includes some private residences, forests, and farmland. There are two parks where dogs and their owners can go exploring here. Head to the Big Beaver Borough Community Park on Park Lane to grab a picnic with your pooch or to go hiking through the woods in this parcel of land. You can also check out the undeveloped Beaver County Park Property that's located in the northwest corner of the borough. Dogs are allowed to accompany you as long as you keep them on a leash and clean up their messes.

Darlington

Darlington is located directly southwest of New Galilee. This quiet, country community features residential areas, local businesses, and an elementary school. You and your pup can take walks along peaceful neighborhood streets here. If you're looking for a moderately difficult hike, take your special pal to the North Country Trail on Cannelton Road, about four miles southwest of town. Enjoy walking or jogging through the woods and along North Fork Little Beaver Creek on this pathway. The trail stretches west into Ohio and east towards Darlington. Dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you on the path. Remember to pick up after your pooch.
Enon Valley

Enon Valley

The remote community of Enon Valley is about four miles northwest of New Galilee. In this small town, dogs and their owners can hike along forest roads and farmlands. There are two community parks for you and your pup to explore. Enon Valley Borough Park is a small wooded lot located at the corner of Cherry Alley and School Street. Wander among the trees and bring along a picnic to share with your special pal in this facility. You can also head over to Caufield Park on Bentfield Lane. Make sure you keep your your pup on a leash and pick up any messes while in public areas.
