The Riverview Dog Park in northwestern Pittsburgh is just over 20 miles from Freedom. This off-leash park is part of the 259-acre Riverview Park, which was created in 1894. In addition to the dog park, Riverview Park also has an extensive trail system that is popular with hikers, dog walkers, and even horseback riders. The dog park includes big and small dog sections, and it's positioned on a hill so your dog will get a great workout racing up and down. There are benches and waste disposal supplies at the dog park, but don't forget to bring your own water and bowl for Fido!

There's a dog park just 13 miles from Freedom, and this one is in northeastern Sewickley, Pennsylvania. It's called the Misty Pines Dog Park, and you and your dog are sure to both fall in love with it. There's a fenced off-leash area, an agility area, and a network of trails to explore at this dog park paradise, and it only costs $7 per dog per visit. Whether your dog is swimming, running, jumping, or showing off on the agility equipment, they'll be socializing and exercising in a beautiful and well-maintained dog park. There's fresh drinking water available for your dog at Misty Pines, but please bring your own bowl.

Pearce Mill Road

Less than 20 miles from Freedom, in the northwestern corner of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, sits the North Park Dog Park. North Park is a 3,075-acre park, and your dog is allowed in other areas of the park if they're wearing their leash. There are two areas of North Park used as off-leash spaces that are rotated to allow the grass to regrow. The spaces are divided into big and small dog sections, and they come complete with everything else you need in a dog park. There are water hoses and bowls, waste disposal supplies, and seating. North Park Dog Park is open daily from dawn to midnight.

Bradys Run Road

Bradys Run Road

If you and Sparky drive just eight miles northwest of Freedom to the southwestern corner of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, you'll arrive at Brady's Run Dog Park. This dog park is part of Brady's Run Park. The off-leash park includes separate sections for small and large breeds as well as a double-gated entry system for extra security. There's also water, waste disposal supplies, seating, and a creek for dogs to splash and play in. The rest of Brady's Run Park has a one-mile walking trail as well as miles of hiking trails, and your dog can join you in these areas if they're wearing their leash.
South Carnegie

South Carnegie

Carnegie is a borough in western Pittsburgh that's home to around 8,000 people, and it's about 25 miles from Freedom. This area is also home to the Carnegie Dog Park, and it includes an all-dog section and a separate area reserved for small or shy dogs. During the warm months of the year, there's running water for dogs to drink, but be sure to bring your own water if you visit in the winter. The rest of Carnegie Park has activities like playgrounds and skate parks, but your dog will have to be on a leash to join you in these areas.
