Franklin Park
For dogs who enjoy a good run, the Franklin Park neighborhood is the place to go. This is where you will find the Misty Pines Dog Park, a large, fenced-off park in which dogs are allowed to run free off the lead. There are separate runs and agility playgrounds for smaller and larger dogs, as well as a spacious pond for pooches who want to dive or swim. If all of that was not enough, there are also hiking trails for you and Fido to explore, all within the fenced boundaries. Although doggie bags and water are provided at the park, you will still need to bring a bowl for your pup to drink from.

Aleppo
There are some pawsome walks to be had in Aleppo, making this a popular neighborhood amongst dog owners. The Fern Hollow Nature Center is always popular, aiming to educate the public about the natural diversity all around. This green space is home to a nature playground for children, a community garden, an apiary, and a few short nature trails. Make sure you have a wander along the Native Tree Walk, as this path will take you and Fido past the 32 native tree species in the park, as well as the wildlife that call them home. This neighborhood also provides access to the 20 acre War Memorial Park, with multiple playgrounds, picnic shelters, grassy green areas and a creek.

Sewickley Hills
Sewickley Hills is home to some pawtastic parks, providing plenty of tail-wagging walks. Acorn Park boasts around 25 acres of natural woodlands, and many parts of the park have not been touched for over 100 years. At the park's entrance lies a playground and picnic areas, as well as access to the hiking and biking trails that run through the park. This neighborhood also provides access to Linbrook Park, where you will find multiple sports facilities, playgrounds and a wildflower nature trail that stretches out for half a mile. Dogs are allowed to use both of these parks, but a lead, doggie bags and drinking water are essential.

Sewickley Heights
Less than a mile from Sewickley lies the borough of Sewickley Heights, which is known for being one of the wealthiest municipalities in Pennsylvania. Here you will find the beautifully-kept Sewickley Heights Borough Park, featuring 600 acres of outstanding natural beauty. There are multiple recreational activities available at the park, from horse riding to hiking, but what your pooch will love the most is the park's Off-Leash Area. With everything from open fields to dirt tracks to woodland trails, your pup will really be able to give his legs a good stretch here. Keep in mind that this area is not fenced off, so you will still need to have verbal control over your dog.

Coraopolis
The small town of Coraopolis is less than two miles from Sewickley, and there are a few pawsome walks to be found here. The 200 acre Robin Hill Park is always popular, as it features numerous streams, an array of wildlife, and a network of hiking trails. For an even longer walk, Coraopolis provides access to the Great Allegheny Passage. This is a 150 mile trail that travels from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Maryland, with everything from historic sites to scenic vistas along the way. Also within this neighborhood is the Shelley Y. Jones Memorial Park, where you will find a playground, a basketball court and a picnic area.
