Throughout the arboretum and botanical park, your dog will come across streams that he can splash around in, but make sure to bring water bottles and clean-up bags with you to the park.

The park offers three baseball diamonds, two playgrounds, a soccer field, restrooms, and a pavilion for shade. Take advantage of the 1/2-mile walking path that is also in the park and get a nice walk in before the two of you have to head back into Athens.
