The city of Seagoville in Dallas County, Texas is also a suburb of Dallas, and it's home to more than 16,000 people. Seagoville is a beautiful city with seven public parks and so much space to explore with your pet. Your dog is allowed to join you at any of these city parks as long as they're on a leash. One such park is the Casa Grande Park in central Seagoville. This three-acre park has playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic facilities. In Seagoville, you're always just a short drive away from plenty of off-leash parks in Texas, too!
An 18-mile drive northwest of Seagoville will get you to the Bark Park Central Dog Park in Downtown Dallas. This pawesome dog park is 1.2 acres, and it's all one open space, so there's no separation for big and small dog dogs. There's a lot to love about this dog park, including artwork throughout the park, doggy wash stations, and plenty of shade for hot days. There are also water stations and waste removal supplies in the park as well. Bark Park Central is open from 6 AM to 11 PM every day, except Tuesdays, when it's closed for maintenance. If you happen to be looking for a dog park near Seagoville on a Tuesday, fear not, because there are plenty of other dog parks nearby!
The Lakewood area of northeast Dallas is half an hour north of Seagoville, and it's also home to White Rock Lake Dog Park at Mockingbird Park. This dog park includes a two-acre area for big dogs and a one-acre area just for small dogs. There are dozens of trees on both sides of the park that provide shade and good stop-'n-sniff spots for your pooch. You'll also find multiple water stations, waste disposal items, and several benches in the park. There's also a dog launch area into the water if your pet fancies themselves a swimmer! Surrounding the off-leash park are trails you can explore with your leashed dog.
The Meadows Foundation Dog Park is less than 20 miles from Seagoville in Old East Dallas. This scenic off-leash park is surrounded by a white picket fence. Although the fence keeps most dogs in, if your dog is especially tiny and can sneak through small spaces, or they're known for making high jumps, keep an extra close eye on them at this park. The Meadows Foundation Dog Park is one space where dogs of all sizes play together, and it's known for being kept very clean! You'll need to bring your own water when you visit the park, but there are waste disposal supplies there for your use.
Mesquite is a city in Texas with a population of more than 143,000, and it's less than 20 miles from Seagoville. North Mesquite is home to Town East Park, a great recreational space with playgrounds, a pool, walking paths, sports fields, and a dog park! The Leash-Free Zone at Town East Park has an area for dogs under 30 pounds, as well as a section for all dogs. The off-leash space totals more than 30,000 square feet, and there are doggy bags provided, but be sure to bring your own water. Your dog can also explore the other areas of the park with you, but they must be on a leash.
Klyde Warren Park is 20 miles from Seagoville, in the Downtown Dallas neighborhood. This 5.2-acre public park includes sports fields, a playground, a dog park, and other recreational amenities! My Best Friend's Park at Klyde Warren Park is an off-leash space where your dog can run and play, but your dog can also join you in the other areas of the park if they're on a leash. There are food trucks and restaurants in the park, and if you visit on a Wednesday during the summer, you can even get special ice cream for your dog! Klyde Warren Park is open daily from 6 AM to 11 PM.
Downtown Dallas is also home to another dog park, and this one is less than 20 miles from Seagoville. The Main Street Garden Urban Dog Run is a securely fenced off-leash space that's part of the 1.75-acre Main Street Garden Park. In addition to the dog park, Main Street Garden Park has playgrounds, a splash pad, a cafe, garden rooms, and various artistic structures. The dog park is free to use, and it includes some obstacles for your dog to play on. Be advised the dog park surface is made of concrete -- on especially hot days, this can be tough on sensitive dog paws.
