My name is Jade Martinez, I grew up in Houston Tx and I have been working with dogs since I was fifteen, but I have been love since I was baby. My first dog was a chow named Andre and he was giving to me by my grandmother and I had him until I was about six. Went with out a dog for about two years, but I had a two beta fish that lived for forever and a cat who was more my sisters than mine. When I was eight we finally got another dog and since then I have made sure that we have not gone without, dogs are an essential in my life. I started volunteering at an animal shelter when I was fifteen then when I turned sixteen I got a job working with them for some time. When I went off to school I didn't really have the time to do anything so working with them stopped but I still had a dog of my own and I also got my veterinary assistant certificate and I haven't found a job, but I still would love to work dogs in the mean time so I joined the wags team and I am very excited to meet new people and ensure peace of mind to them knowing there dog is out having a great time and is well taken care of.

Fulshear is a quickly-growing city in northwestern Fort Bend County, Texas, and it's part of the Houston, The Woodlands, and Sugar Land metropolitan areas. With its proximity to Houston and other big cities, you're never far from all of the amenities imaginable when you're in Fulshear. There are also plenty of things to do right in Fulshear, and the city is dedicated to keeping it green, clean, and beautiful. Dog owners enjoy living in Fulshear because there's never a shortage of dog-friendly activities nearby to enjoy. While there isn't an off-leash dog park in Fulshear, there are paw-lenty in the surrounding areas.
Another dog-friendly option is visiting a restaurant that welcomes four-legged family members in Fulshear. One such place is the Essence House Cafe in the heart of Fulshear, and it was established in 2007. This casual eatery serves breakfast and lunch all day. Their dishes include classic breakfast fare, like pancakes, waffles, omelets, and French toast, and they also serve lunch dishes like sandwiches, burgers, and much more. There are a few outdoor tables at Essence House, and your dog can hang out by your side while you enjoy your meal. Once your trip to Essence House Cafe is complete, it's time to pack up and visit a nearby off-leash park!
Addicks is an area of western Houston that's less than 30 miles from Fulshear. This area is also where you'll find the Congressman Bill Archer Bark Park. This beautiful off-leash park features a general area for all dogs, as well as a separate small dog enclosure. There's also agility equipment throughout the park and a pond where dogs can take a dip. In case your dog gets messy during your visit, there are also dog wash stations. There's drinking water, waste disposal stations, and restrooms at Congressman Bill Archer Bark Park, too!
The city of Katy, Texas is less than a 20-minute drive from Fulshear, and near the Town Park neighborhood in central Katy sits the Katy Dog Park. Many visitors regard the 14-acre Katy Dog Park as the nicest off-leash dog park they've ever been to, and it isn't hard to see why! In addition to an all-dog area, there's a small dog enclosure and a special swimming area for dogs. The park is very clean and well-maintained, and there are benches, shade, and restrooms for pet parents. There are also dog wash stations, waste disposal items, and water fountains for canines and humans!
In less than half an hour, you and your dog can drive to Sugar Land, Texas and experience a California-style getaway, even if it's only for an afternoon! The Pawm Springs Dog Park in south Sugar Land is designed to mimic the resort lifestyle of Palm Springs, and it has separate sections for big and small dogs. There's also a swimming area for dogs that's cleaned every week, and there are lounge chairs and palm tree water spray features around the park. There are also shaded areas, water fountains, and dog wash stations so you can clean your pup up before you head home.
Another one of western Houston's pawesome dog parks is less than a 20-minute drive from Fulshear, and it's called the Millie Bush Bark Park. This off-leash park has a big dog section with two ponds in it and a small dog section with one pond. Some of the park's other features include play fire hydrants, doggy showers, water spigots, and waste disposal supplies. There are also lots of benches and shaded areas to keep human visitors comfortable, too! The bigger park surrounding the dog park has several trails where you can walk with your dog if they are wearing their leash.
Katy, Texas is home to another dog park you won't want to miss, and this one is in southwestern Katy. The Cross Creek Ranch Canine Commons Dog Park is less than a ten-minute drive from Fulshear, and it includes separate fenced areas for big and small dogs. This off-leash park sits on almost an acre of land, and it also features a shaded seating pavilion, water fountains and dog bowls, waste disposal supplies, and a dog wash station. While the pavilion offers comfortable shade, other areas of the dog park don't have very much shade, so keep that in mind if you visit on a hot day.
