My name is Jade Martinez, I grew up in Houston Tx and I have been working with dogs since I was fifteen, but I have been love since I was baby. My first dog was a chow named Andre and he was giving to me by my grandmother and I had him until I was about six. Went with out a dog for about two years, but I had a two beta fish that lived for forever and a cat who was more my sisters than mine. When I was eight we finally got another dog and since then I have made sure that we have not gone without, dogs are an essential in my life. I started volunteering at an animal shelter when I was fifteen then when I turned sixteen I got a job working with them for some time. When I went off to school I didn't really have the time to do anything so working with them stopped but I still had a dog of my own and I also got my veterinary assistant certificate and I haven't found a job, but I still would love to work dogs in the mean time so I joined the wags team and I am very excited to meet new people and ensure peace of mind to them knowing there dog is out having a great time and is well taken care of.

Dog Walking in Rosenberg

Rosenburg is a bustling little town surrounded by lush fields and open areas, located south of the Brazos River and 35 miles from Houston. The area was named after Henry von Rosenberg, who moved from Switzerland and became the first president of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad. What draws a lot of people and pups to the city today is the vast amount of dog-friendly parks, trails, a walkable downtown area, and 2 animal hospitals.

The most beautiful place to head out to with Fido is the Seabourne Creek Nature Park. The park has over 164 acres of prairies, gardens, thick woods, and a lake for fishing There are 3.2 miles of trails and boardwalks that wind through the preserve, with a recreational area that offers picnic tables, restroom, a butterfly garden, and a boat launch. Dogs are not required to be on a leash while inside the preserve, as long as they are under voice command. There are water fountains, trash bins, and benches available.

Sunset Park is a park that's close to downtown, but still offers a large, open area for dogs to use. There are scattered trees throughout the park that provide plenty of shade, paved walkways, and a playground. Dogs can play in the fenced-in baseball fields, in the tennis courts, or around the playground, with access to amenities like water fountains, clean-up stations, benches, and trash bins.

Rosenberg provides pups and humans with plenty of outdoor options, from all-day fun in nature to a quiet afternoon in a well-maintained park.
