There is a beautiful park located in Cedar View, aptly named the Cedarview Park, which has a puppy water fountain in case your furry friend is parched during his daily walk. Make a quick stop over at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and grab a yummy treat that you can enjoy on the pet-friendly patio.

Ponderosa Estates

Prefer a more secluded environment? Try the woodsy area of Ponderosa Estates. There is plenty to do in the way of outdoor activities, and you can also seek out new adventures with your safely leashed pup in tow. With a few lakes located both on the east and west side of the neighborhood, residents can take their pets over and enjoy some sightseeing and water activities. The area does require some commuting as it is on the outskirts of Bonney Lake and doesn’t offer much in the way of shops and services. However, this can make for some fun adventures both with and without your precious pups.

Alderton

Head a little west of Bonney Lake and you’ll find yourself in the town of Alderton, just outside of Puyallup, WA. This small neighborhood is nestled alongside the Puyallup River and is great for pups that love to get in touch with nature. There is an entrance to the Foothills Trail in Alderton, which gives you and your dog access to a trail that spans 30 miles through a number of cities, with the most popular stretch running in this area. There is accessible parking for those who aren’t making the journey on foot (or paws).

Meeker

Named for the very first mayor of Puyallup, Meeker is a small little neighborhood located just east of the center of town. While there are no dog parks in the neighborhood itself, it’s just a few minutes away from the Puyallup Dog Park. This area is perfect for pet parents who want to live in a cozy residential area, but still be just a few minutes' trek from more bustling areas. Just ten minutes west of Bonney Lake, this old town also has yummy eateries that you can visit with your pet in tow! For a quick bite on a sunny day, try the Rock Wood Fired Kitchen!

Blake Street

Enumclaw is a pet-friendly neighborhood located about 10 miles away from Bonney Lake that has plenty for you and your four-legged family to do! Start your fun at Cobber’s Pet Pantry, which offers a unique experience for you and your pup. Enjoy yummy treats, fun toys and puzzles, and much more fur-friendly fun. Fancy a craft beer? Leash up the gang and head over to Fill’s Growlers for a pint or two, which you can enjoy on their patio.
