Flaming Geyser Park

Flaming Geyser Park

Centered on the Green River at the very eastern end of Auburn, right across from the Kummer neighborhood in Black Diamond, Washington, Flaming Geyser Park is a cool attraction and wonderful park to visit with Fido! The place offers more than 480 acres of open space, featuring miles of hiking trails and access to natural hot springs. You will fall in love with the charming freshwater shoreline and stunning beauty of 2 geysers. The park requires a one-day Discover Pass, which can be purchased on-site. The area is entirely dog-friendly; however, pooches should behave and stay on their leash at all times!

12th Avenue Southwest

12th Avenue Southwest

Puyallup is a city in Pierce County, Washington located 35 miles south of Seattle and 26 miles west of Enumclaw. 12th Avenue in the southwestern part of the city leads straight to Clark’s Creek Park, a city park with sports fields and courts, a playground, and a dog park. The main park is well-shaded and promises lots of fun on the walking trails, but you can also pay a visit to the designated doggy area, where the real fun begins! Very popular among locals, the place is packed with active mutts playing and chasing each other. The park doesn't have any drinking water facilities, and drinking from the creek is not advised, so be sure to bring a bottle.

Fort Nisqually

Fort Nisqually

Fort Nisqually, located at the very end of the peninsula with a vast waterfront and plenty of outdoor activities, is a northwestern neighborhood of Tacoma that's home to the only pet-friendly place in the near vicinity. Fort Nisqually is centered on Point Defiance Park, a huge, green terrain complete with a zoo and aquarium. Leashed pups are welcome to hit the walking trails leading through breathtaking scenery and past the zoo and aquarium. Or, let your pooch off-leash in the designated dog park with two separate sections for small and large breeds to play and socialize separately. Fort Nisqually is the pawfect place for a family outing, so bring the whole pack!

Dash Point State Park

Dash Point State Park

Dash Point State Park, nestled on the banks of Commercial Bay in eastern Dash Point, is a 400-acre park on Puget Sound promising an amazing camping experience for you and your buddy. There is no designated area for pooches, but there are plenty of walking and hiking trails ranging from easy to moderate, which are perfect for beginners. If you are an experienced hiker, why not try something new and take a boat trip along the shore, or camp overnight under the stars? Pooches are very welcome in the area, as long as their parents clean up after them and keep them on-leash at all times.
