That s totally fine! I m more concerned with him doing his business than the distance of the walk. He s not much of a walker anyway.

Wenatchee City Center

Wenatchee City Center

The City Center neighborhood of Wenatchee has plenty of urban parks and exciting places to walk with your pupper! One of the most pawpular among dogs and their walkers is the Wenatchee Riverfront Park. This picturesque 31 acre park is located along the shoreline of the Columbia River, and offers picnic areas, restrooms, a boat launch and plenty of grassy areas your pooch will love! This park is also the starting and finishing point of the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail. This inter-urban trail is 10 miles long, and stretches along the Columbia River and scenic orchards, and is adjacent to the downtown area. The park and trail are multi-use, and welcome leashed dogs! Riverside Nine

Riverside Nine

Dog owners of Wenatchee love the Riverside Nine neighborhood for its places to hang with your best pal. This neighborhood is proud home to the Walla Walla Point Park, which features athletic fields, swimming pools, BBQs, and riverside trails. Best of all, within this park you can find the Badger Park off-leash dog area! For a small monthly fee, you can have 24 hour access to this puppy paradise!  This dog park has drinking water, a toy chest, agility obstacles and swimming pools. Bags and pooper scoopers are provided, so all you need to bring is your happy pup. Your pooch must remain leashed when outside of the fenced in area. After some heart pumping exercise, go grab a bite to eat at The Dawg House at the Dog Park. This food truck offers coffee, sandwiches, ice cream and more.

Appleyard is a pretty neighborhood in the south end of Wenatchee that has plenty of access to the great outdoors. In the west side of this neighborhood you can find the Saddle Rock Trailhead. This trail is 2 miles roundtrip with a 920 foot gain. The steep climb is worth the challenge though! You and your dog will be able to enjoy the sights and smells of beautiful wildflowers along the way, wind through craggy, pointed rocks, and arrive to a sweeping panoramic view of Wenatchee at the summit. Your dog will need to stay leashed on the trail, because efforts are being made to protect the surrounding nature from erosion.
