Introduction
Con Air Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
Sometimes our dogs do something that makes us think that they may be supernatural or have some magic up their furry sleeve. This pupster, Casey, a mixed breed dog of about a year old is one of those kinds of poochies. Casey was a stray rescue that was at the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter. She had been found walking the streets with a swollen face and head due to a collar that was so small; it was cutting off the blood flow.
After removal of the collar, Casey was deemed healthy and ready for adoption as she was so furiendly and lovable. She had no other medical conditions except for the big wound on her neck from the collar that had to be surgically removed. However, she was constantly passed over for some reason when people came in to adopt animals. It seemed that Casey might never get a forever home of her own.
Nevertheless, the employees working at the animal shelter had taken a liking to the sweet-natured pooch, and she was one of the favorites to all who met her. Except nobody seemed to want to take her home with them. It may have been because of the wound on her neck, which had already healed very nicely, or it may have been her size because she was a pretty big pooch and her head still seemed a bit too big for her body.
But one individual who met Casey several times during her frequent visits, Lynne Fridley, really took a liking to that big pupster and decided to take her home. Lynne already had four dogs at home, so she was no amateur, and Casey fit in with the family right away. The five furry family members were instant friends and happily played together right away. But all of a sudden, some weird things started happening that Lynne noticed.
A few days after she brought the new pooch home, Lynne noticed that all of the dogs’ collars were gone. Just completely missing from their necks. She found them scattered in the back yard and although she was curious, she put them back on the doggos and didn’t give it a second thought. Until it happened again. This time, a few days later, the collars were gone again but Lynne could only find one in the yard. The others had disappeared.
After she put the collar she found back on Charlie, the dog it belonged to, Lynne decided to watch and see what was going on because she had a sneaking suspicion she knew what it was. And her suspicion was found to be a fact within a few minutes. As she watched, Casey grabbed ahold of Charlie’s collar and pulled it right off. So, she followed Casey to see if she would lead her to the rest of them.
And she was right, Casey went underneath the house where she had a stash of collars and other odds and ends hidden. Lynne and her husband believe that the pooch was not a kleptomaniac; she was trying to save her new furry friends from the suffering she went through. Apparently, Casey knew it was her collar that had caused her so much pain all those months, and she did not want her fur buddies to have to go through the same thing.
Con Air Inspired Dog Name Considerations
When you are bringing home a new furever friend, you will need to remember some things that can help your furbaby feel more at ease during the transition. For instance, it would be great if they had a warm and cozy doggy bed to sleep in, a leash and collar to go for walks with you, some fun doggy toys, crunchy dog bones, and lots of yummy kibble and treats. In addition, you will need a good veterinarian to keep your poochie healthy and the ideal name for your canine kid.
Naming your furry friend does not have to be a difficult chore though. Make it fun by watching your pupster as you play with them, looking for interesting and unique quirks and habits. For example, if you have a bouncy dog who never sits still, Pinball would be a wooftastic name, and if your pup is hyper and excited all the time, the name Skittles would be adorable. You can also give your fur buddy a name that corresponds to their appearance such as Bunny for a cuddly little pup or Smoke for a gray doggo. We have found some terrific names for you to choose from and listed them here.
