Dog Names that Start with Ta

Our first famous Ta dog is Tango from Bailey's Billions! Tango is a Golden Retriever who plays the title character Bailey. In the movie, Tango's character becomes a billionaire when his owner dies and leaves her entire fortune to the Gold Retriever. Although now that he is wealthy, he becomes the target of a kidnapping scheme planned by his owner's nephew Caspar and his wife Dolores. The two devious villains in the story want to gain custody of the dog to spend all of his money. Bailey, along with his friends, finds a way to ruin these plans to save Bailey and his billions.

Tango also plays in two Air Bud movies from the early 2000s. Tango stars in Air Bud 3  and Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch. As Buddy, Tango becomes both a soccer and baseball star. These movies are just part of a huge Air Bud series.

Tawny is another famous dog with a Ta name. Tawny became a famous pooch when she gave birth to a litter of 18 puppies in 1999. This giant litter (reminiscent of the 101 Dalmatians) was this Labrador Retriever's first litter. Her puppies earned her the title of Iams Mother of the Year.

Taro, part of the famous pair Taro and Jiro, was a Sakhalin Husky that was abandoned on the continent of Antarctica for a year in 1958 until rescued by a group of Japanese people on an expedition. The two dogs, who happened to be brothers, were the only two dogs of the 15-dog sled team that were found alive. The 13 other dogs were all either found deceased or never found. The team of dogs was left chained up outside with only a little bit of food. While the team believed that another team would be there in a few days to rescue the dogs, the weather got bad, and the team never made it. Tara and Jiro remarkably survived the ordeal.
