Introduction
Hungary Dog Names in Pop Culture
But the day had to come, right? It always does, and it's always a terrifying, sad, and even daunting moment: the death of a loved one. In 2010, Kubrick was diagnosed with canine lymphoma, and died shortly after. As a way of working through his grief and loss, Sean Ellis began compiling all of the photographs he'd taken of the dog, and prepping them into book form.
And the book shows their relationship. There's images of Ellis playing guitar while Kubrick listens, images of Kubrick in the bathtub, as a puppy, images of Kubrick running around the house, and even some of him posing with world-renowned models like Kate Moss. But the most iconic, and telling images, are those where Kubrick is posing alongside some sort of lighting prop, such as a neon light that's shaped like the outline of a house. Clearly, Kubrick wasn't just another dog, or another pet to Sean Ellis. Kubrick was his friend, his loyal best friend, and one who surely made him feel like he was home, even when he wasn't.
Losing him was a traumatic, and heart wrenching experience for Ellis, that much is blatantly clear. Flipping through the pages, you may find yourself looking at artistic photos through tearful eyes. The book is enough to make anyone smile and laugh, especially those of us who have had a massive connection with a dog, only to lose him afterward.
Losing a pet, a friend, is a lot like losing a loved one. It's like losing a family member. Someone who greets you when you come home, wishes you a goodnight, and has dinner with you. Dogs miss us when we aren't home, and certainly notice when something is the matter. So, Ellis may be world-famous and rich, successful and award-winning, but he too knows what it's like to lose a best friend. Kubrick will surely always be remembered, not just by Ellis, but everyone who got to meet him.
Hungary Dog Name Considerations
But then again, chances are we've all burned ourselves out at the desk, researching page after page, paragraph after paragraph. Desperately and fruitlessly trying to find a catchy name amongst all sorts of mythological tales.
But the trick to truly finding a name that works is to find a happy middle ground. Rather than swim through and eventually drown in information, it's best to limit yourself to specific niches and subjects. Maybe you want a name that's culturally diverse? Then pick two or three countries you're interested in, like Hungary, and take it from there. Why research names from all over the world, when you could just research the places you're interested in the most?
Whatever you wind up limiting yourself to, remember to consider the dog's breed, age, gender, color, size, appearance, and personality. The name should carefully reflect the dog in the best possible way. Even if it means using their favorite toys and games as inspiration!
