Introduction
Snack Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
Ever watched anybody or any animal pop one hundred balloons and set a world record while they do it? Crazy, right? Maybe crazy, but it’s a real thing. And Doree Sitterly’s Jack Russell Terrier, Twinkie, holds the Guinness World Record with her 38.09 seconds time. The video is so much fun to watch, so we recommend viewing the quickly-fading sea of red balloons. Twinkie is so energetic, and where most dogs might be scared of popping balloons (an act that produces sounds similar to fireworks), Twinkie is all about attacking the balloons and bursting each one.
The tiny dog runs wild and spins through all of the balloons. It’s actually quite amazing, as you’d be hard-pressed to find another animal or human focused and determined enough to do this in such a short period of time. Twinkie has a goal, and she sees it finished. The balloon-popping madness is in her blood really; her own mother, Anastacia, held the same Guinness World Record for nearly a decade. It’s a weird record, we admit, but hey: somebody’s gotta do it. Twinkie nominates herself! And she’s adorable, bucking and jumping, skipping and hopping all across those balloons.
The previous record was held by one Cally the Wonderdog; she performed on Britain’s Got Talent. No more, though! Twinkie performs her feat next to a sign that reads, “Creature Feature.” She is gently dropped into the square of red balloons as the timer begins. She goes crazy, and her determination and fun-loving attitude is quite comical and inspiring all at the same time. You will certainly smile. She is so diligent and ready to win, and we love that about her.
Children cheer Twinkie on as she works to pop every single balloon. You can hear laughter, squeals, and the sounds of amazement in the video. Perhaps our most favorite part arrives at the end as Twinkie pops the final balloon and stands still to face the crowd. She breathes heavily, tongue out and tail wagging. She’s so cheerful and lovable. The audience goes nuts for this little cutie pie doing her thing!
You should definitely follow dog trainer Doree Sitterly on Twitter and Instagram. Her Jack Russell terriers are adorable. She’s active in dressing them up and having them participate in little activities. You won’t be disappointed when you see them in your newsfeed. These pups can do way more than pop balloons. Mostly, they’re great at being super cute and dreamy. How beautiful and well-behaved they are! Congrats, Doree! You have some of the best fur children around.
Snack Inspired Dog Name Considerations
Some of us absolutely live for snack time, and we also live for the moment we walk through the door and our dogs welcome us home. What you maybe have never considered before is that many of our snack food items actually make terrific names for pets. Usually, snacks are cute, crunchy, and delicious. Our dogs are also cute, a little noisy at times, and delicious in a different way. We devour our time with them; many of us don’t have enough hours in a day to spend all the minutes we’d like to with our furry babies. They are our pride and joy. And they deserve a cool title!
If you’re already thinking more commercial, that’s perfect: names like “Welch,” “Slim Jim,” “Funyun,” “Raisinet,” “Nilla,” or “Stacy” each represent a well-known brand. For more subtle snack names, try “Biskit,” “Heath,” “Teddy,” “Ruthie,” “Krispy,” or “Reese.” There is an overwhelming number of delicious little in-between meals that we purchase or make ourselves, so brainstorm and think outside of our name guide even. At the end of the day, we want you to land the perfect little moniker for your little buddy. So read our ideas, but be sure to dream of your own as well.
