Cedar Knolls is an unincorporated community of fewer than 4,000 people in Hanover Township. It shares all its amenities with the handful of sister communities which make up the township. Two veterinary clinics operate within the community, and many more are available in the adjoining neighborhoods.
Many dog-friendly activities can be enjoyed in Cedar Knolls. Three of the Hanover parks are located here: Malapardis Park, Central Park, and Cedar Knolls. Malapardis Park is the largest of the three parks. It includes a paved walking path, a picnic spot, and a small pond. You and your leashed pup can get a good stretch in the fresh air in this park and the two others.
For a more extensive adventure, the Patriots Path is one to check out with your leashed friend. This trail extends 90 miles along one of the most scenic portions of the Whippany River. Trailheads can be found in the adjoining community of Whippany.
If you're traveling with your furry family member, there are places to stay nearby. Red Carpet Inn, located just 2.5 miles away in Whippany, allows dogs of any size to stay for $10 per dog per night. Also, America's Best Value Inn Whippany will welcome two dogs up to fifty pounds for $10 per dog per night.
Cedar Knolls makes a person and their dog feel right at home!
