Although dogs are not allowed in the main park, the Rotary Dog Park is the pawfect place for pooches to play off the lead. This fully fenced-off park features separate grassy sections for smaller and larger dogs, with a waste bag dispenser at the main gate, as well as a water fountain with both human and doggie drinking heads.
Your pup will no doubt find Fernway exciting, as there is so much to see and do here. There are a couple of small playgrounds, such as the Creekwood Commons Playground and the Freedom Woods Playground, with walking paths circling them, and these are ideal for a leisurely stroll with Fido. When it comes to treating your pooch to a restaurant meal, there are a couple of options available to you in this neighborhood. Just 2.5 miles away from Cranberry Township is the small town of Seven Fields, which is home to a couple of pawriffic parks. Less than seven miles from Cranberry Township is the Wexford neighborhood of Wexford Rd, which offers up some pawtastic dog walks. Some of the most popular to be had are found in North Park, a 3,075 acre park that spans three townships; Pine, McCandless and Hampton, with this neighborhood providing access to the northern portion of the park. With a 65 acre lake, multiple sports facilities, a nature center, trails and more, there is so much to see and do at North Park. If all of that was not enough, the 38 acre Pine Haven Park is also in this neighborhood, with its numerous picnic tables, nature area and half-mile nature trail.
