Feeding Hills is an interesting place to visit with your pup, set southwest of Springfield near the Massachusetts - Connecticut border. Officially, Feeding Hills is a sub-section of Agawam, but has its own ZIP code. One-quarter of the population of Agawam live on the Feeding Hills side, and the area is home to the highest point in town, Provin Mountain. There is an animal hospital in town and several others in neighbouring cities, shoudl your pup need it.
The Robinson State Park is the must-go place in Feeding Hills for nature lovers. There are approximately 20 miles of hiking trails here, where your dog is welcome to join you on-lead. The park covers 1025 acres and borders the meandering Westfield River. There is an abundance of wildlife and native flora to be seen here, so take it easy and enjoy the sights together. There is a small daily parking fee, so check the signs as you enter.
For a great pooch-friendly place to eat, head to Mama Galloni's Authentic Gourmet Foods in town. This restaurant has two pet-friendly outdoor tables so your pup can happily sit by your side while you enjoy lasagna, chicken parmesan, zucchini fritters, salad or pasta dish.
