Dog Beach
Dog Beach is a strip of land that runs between right between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita. Bonita Dog Park is specifically designed to be a leash-free, fence-free, and dog-friendly area. It can be overwhelming for little dogs around high tide. However, it is the pawfect place for you and your dog to splash in the water together. You will need to bring your own water bottle because there is no running water available. It is an all-beach, all nature experience. So come let Fido bark at the seagulls, chase a few balls, and enjoy a full day of fun in the sun.

Black Island
Black Island Trails is a series of interconnecting trails that run through the Lovers Key State Park. You will need to keep your dog on a leash while exploring, but with all the interesting sights and smells, Fido will completely forget he’s on a leash! This island is home to several endangered species, including bald eagles and manatees. Practice good petiquette and don’t let your dog harass any of the local wildlife. You’ll need to bring lots of water, a towel or blanket to sit on, and good walking shoes. Bringing some treats along is a good idea, too.

Fort Myers Beach
Right on Fort Myers Beach, you will find Fishing Buddy Charters. It is run by a fur baby owner that encourages all fur babies to come for a ride. Even first-time boat riders are more than welcome to come aboard! You can choose to go fishing Estero Bay, Sanibel Island or Pine Island Sound. What you will catch depends on what time of year you go. If fishing isn’t for you, take a water tour and enjoy the feeling of the wind in your hair. Fido will love all the new sights and smells this pawesome boat trip has in store!

Parrot Key
Parrot Key is a nice little gulf that has its very own marina. You can come by boat to Parrot Key Caribbean Grill. They have a fur-friendly seating area just slightly away from the main restaurant so that Fido won’t be distracted by all the great smells. The menu here is mostly seafood with a Caribbean flair. The food is a little on the spicy side, so be mindful of that when ordering for Fido. Water bowls are brought out for your pal along with your own drinks. Please remember that you will need to keep your dog on a leash here. It’s a good idea to make a reservation for fur-friendly seating, since tables go quickly here.

Old San Carlos Blvd
Are you looking for a place right on the water that is fur-friendly? How about really great, fresh seafood? If you love both, then you will beg to go to Nervous Nellie’s! The staff will greet your dog like the star they are, and will be delighted to fuss over your pawesome pal. There is a ton of great seating all around for you to be comfortable and relaxed. You can park your boat at the dock and walk right up from the beach. Even the views are something to bark at! Just remember to bring Fido’s leash so he doesn’t try to take a nice, long walk on the beach without you.
