The park features birding, a nature preserve, and nature trails the two of you can hike together. The trails are covered in trees to help keep you and your pup cool, but make sure to bring some water along with you since there aren't any areas in the park to stop and get some. The G.C. Herring Park is a beautiful park to take your pup to for a fun day out. This huge parks offers great amenities for you and your pup, including basketball courts, a playground, and tons of grass for fetch. There is a great paved walking path that goes around and through the park that you both can use, plus some picnic tables if you need to sit down and rest, or want to have a bite to eat in the sunshine.
