Sunrise Park is 40 acres of open space that offers plenty of amenities such as fishing piers, kayaking, canoeing, picnic areas, picnic pavilions, and miles of trail access that you and your leashed dog can explore together! Lake Suzy

This family-friendly neighborhood offers quick and easy access to the Lower Peace River Corridor that is comprised of vast northern forest, river systems, sandy ridges, and the everglades. Dogs and other friendly pets are welcome on the Peace River, Canoe Outpost, Peace River buses, canoes, kayaks, and property. Peace River is one of the few pet-friendly rivers in Florida! Nav-A-Gator Grill, located on the grounds of the Peace River, is a dock front, fish camp style restaurant that is happy to cater to your pup! They even have a special menu for dogs that features items like red snapper and alligator!

North Port

This quaint neighborhood is very close to the spacious and breathtaking Mayakka River State Park that is one of the oldest and largest state parks that spans 58 square miles. Visitors and leashed pups can enjoy wildlife viewing from a boardwalk that stretches over the lake. North Port hosts an annual Pug Parade that was started and ran by a local resident in memory of her late pug, Lilith. All breeds are welcomed to enjoy the kissing booth, costume contest, auction, face painters, cake and refreshments for dogs and humans! El Jobean

Adventure awaits you and Fido in this small community of Port Charlotte. If you have an RV, head on over to Harbor Lakes RV Park. There’s plenty of grassy fields here for Fido to run around and stretch his legs. You can also enjoy relaxing in the on-site heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi! Have some fun playing games such as shuffleboard, or take advantage of the numerous athletic courts. Keep in mind that Fido is only allowed to enjoy certain amenities with you, and they must always be on a leash no longer than 6 feet any time they’re outside of your RV.
