Family-friendly and thriving, Fountain, CO really has it all. Conveniently located near the much larger Colorado Springs, the town combines easy access to city amenities with a cozy, small-town feel. The area has all the breathtaking mountain views, forests, and hiking trails that Colorado is famous for, but it’s located on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, so its climate is far more forgiving than elsewhere in the state! There are three veterinary clinics in town to take good care of your buddy, with 24-hour care available a short drive away in Colorado Springs.
Though there’s no real opportunity for off-leash adventures in Fountain, you and your pooch are sure to sniff out something to do! There’s plenty of fur-friendly hiking right in town, and several community parks for leashed walks. Aga Park in particular is a favorite of local dog owners, and even has a couple of splash pads so you and your pooch can cool down on a summer’s day. You won’t find any doggy dining options in the neighborhood, but Coke’s Diner just across from the park does a mean sandwich for take-out. And if your furry friend needs to run free, you’ll find a couple of furrific dog parks in the surrounding area!
Hello! I have had dogs since I was a little girl and absolutely adored every single one I owned. I walk my current dogs every single day, or take my border collie to the dog park for some frisbee. I have a had bigs dogs such as my black lab and little dogs, like my Pomeranian. I know some dogs have different needs and am prepared to provide that! I look forward to walking you furry friends!
