Located 22 miles from Monument, this dog park has a large fenced area with a spacious field for running and romping and even a creek for a splashin' good time! There are also off-leash pathways you can explore with your dog. If your dog needs a drink, water is available. After the dog park, take your pup over to Pub Dog, the only restaurant in Colorado that allows dogs to sit inside. Pub Dog also has a doggy menu that includes items like puppy patties and “pupsicles” made with frozen chicken breast soup. You and your dog will both have a great time eating here!

This Larkspur neighborhood is home to another fun off-leash area: Devon’s Dog Park. This 17-acre dog park is just eight miles from Monument, and it includes one large field where dogs can play and make friends with other local pups. There’s also a fun agility course in the dog park. Bring some water for your dog, and enjoy playing with them here. If you want to go on a longer walk with your pup after the dog park, take them on the Green Open Space Trail. This beautiful trail goes through native grasslands and through pine forests. The Green Open Space Trail is located right next to Devon’s Dog Park, and it welcomes dogs on-leash.

West Colorado Springs is home to Garden of the Gods, a National Natural Landmark that has beautiful rock formations This park is 19 miles from Monument, and it has a small off-leash area. This unfenced off-leash area is located east of Rock Ledge Ranch Historic site and west of 30thStreet. Be sure to bring some water for your pup. After your dog is finished playing off-leash, put them back on their leash and explore some of Garden of the Gods' trails. If you’re looking for a shorter walk, try the Perkins Central Garden Trail, which features a 1.5-mile paved path.
