If you and your four-legged friend are looking for a quiet place to get a little exercise and relax, check out Sunridge Hollow Park, in Parker’s North Pinery neighborhood! About one mile from The Pinery, this peaceful neighborhood park has an especially natural feel with grassy hillsides where you and your leashed pup can walk or lay out a blanket and soak up some rays. There’s also a walking path that loops around the park where you and Fido can go for a jaunt. There are some large, beautiful trees that provide shade, picnic tables, benches and a playground, too. In this neighborhood, you and your pooch can also hop on a stretch of the four-mile Pinery Loop Trail!

The Colorado Horse Park

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time in The Colorado Horse Park neighborhood in Parker! Only about two miles from The Pinery, this neighborhood is where you and your pup will find one of the most pawpular canine hangouts around, the Bayou Gulch Dog Park! Located within Bayou Gulch Regional Park, this two-acre fully enclosed off-leash area is a furrific place to take your dog to them romp and roam free! There’s lots of grass and a handful of shady trees, plus spectacular mountain views! After your pup has run off some energy, clip on the leash and explore the rest of Bayou Gulch Regional Park! There’s 4.68 miles of dirt trails that meander through a natural area, and 1.48 miles of paved path that wind through the developed area of the park. You’ll also find drinking fountains, restrooms and picnic tables at this beautiful park!

Idyllwilde

There’s fun for the whole family in Parker’s Idyllwilde neighborhood, about five miles from The Pinery! This neighborhood’s 12-acre Tallman Meadow Park is a pawsome place to visit with your leashed dog and the rest of the two-legged fam! Kiddos will love playing on the large playground, and you and Fido won’t mind watching them from the nearby benches nestled in the beautiful wildflower garden. There’s also a woofderful pavilion that’s great for family gatherings! Tallman Meadow Park’s paved walking path connects with the three-mile Tallman Gulch Trail where you, your pup and the rest of your pack can take a nice, long walk. This neighborhood is also home to Skylar Park!

Whispering Pines

Enjoy some of that brilliant Rocky Mountain sunshine and fresh air with your leashed pup in Franktown’s Whispering Pines neighborhood, about six miles from The Pinery! This area’s known for its Whispering Pines Park, an eight-acre oasis of fun! There’s plenty of lawn where you and your pup can play or train while you take in the stellar views of the snowcapped mountains on the skyline. Whispering Pines Park also has a covered picnic area and a woofderful playground where kiddos will have a blast, too! This pawsome park also has playfields, a sand volleyball court, and portable restrooms. Be sure to bring your own drinking water for you and Fido!

Preston Hills

Check out one of Parker’s most pawpular parks in the Preston Hills neighborhood, about six miles from The Pinery! Located near downtown Parker, the 8.5-acre O’Brien Park is a woofderful area where you can stroll with your leashed pup. As you wander on the park’s paved path, you’ll pass by playfields, two playground areas, a picnic pavilion, a quaint gazebo and restrooms. Follow the path to the park’s southeast corner and you and Fido will be within a stone’s throw to two furrific eateries, Indochine Cuisine and Tailgate Tavern and Grill. Leashed doggos are welcome in the outdoor seating areas at both restaurants. A few blocks away, you and your pup can also check out the .9-acre Living Wheel Park.
