If you want to have a picnic with your dog, Stonegate Village Community Park has a lovely gazebo where you can sit and enjoy views of the park. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a great time spending the day in this fun-filled park.

Fox Sparrow Road

This quiet, rural Parker neighborhood is home to a furrific off-leash area every pup is sure to love: Bayou Gulch Dog Park. Located 11 miles from Stonegate, this park offers a two-acre fenced field where pups can run and play to their hearts' content. Bring water with you, and have a fun time playing here with your pup. After your dog is finished at the dog park, put their leash back on and take them for a stroll on one of Bayou Gulch Park’s lovely trails. If you want to go for a short stroll, hop on the park’s 1.48-mile paved trail. Or, if you want to go on a longer walk, try the 4.68-mile unpaved trail. Your dog will love seeing (and sniffing!) the sights at this park!

Wynetka

If you’re looking for another fun off-leash area for your dog, check out Wynteka Ponds Dog Park. This park is located 19.5 miles from Stonegate, and it includes two alternating sections. Both sides are fenced, and they feature large fields for pups to run and play in. If your dog gets thirsty, a doggy water fountain is available. If you want to get a bite to eat after the dog park, head over to The Egg & I. This casual breakfast and lunch spot welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve delicious omelets, frittatas, waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, and more.

Cherry Creek State Park

Want to spend the day with your pup in a beautiful park? If so, Cherry Creek State Park is pawfect for you! Located 8.5 miles from Stonegate, this park has an unfenced off-leash area that includes a large field and a creek for pups to splash and swim in. The park also has lots of picturesque trails where you can take your dog for on-leash walks. This includes the popular 4.75-mile paved Cherry Creek Trail and the 1.08-mile unpaved Butterfly Hill Trail. Bring water and doggy bags, and have a ball at this stunning park!

Lowry

Lowry is a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood with lots to offer its furry residents and visitors. The neighborhood has one puptastic off-leash area, Lowry Dog Park. This dog park is 22 miles from Stonegate, and it has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs to play in. There’s no water available in the park, so it’s a good idea to bring some with you. After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at North Country. This casual eatery serves fresh seafood dishes that feature flavors from Baja, California. Dogs are welcome to join you on North Country’s outdoor patio.
