More than 9,000 people call this community home, and over the last decade, it has been growing rapidly. The city was limited in its development for many years because of the challenging topography in Fultondale, but today, it's home to numerous residential communities, as well as businesses, restaurants, and entertainment services that make it a great place to live and work. Fultondale also maintains several city parks and other outdoor activities, and it even has its own dog park!

The Black Creek Dog Park is on Stouts Road, in central Fultondale, and it's a pawpular place to bring your dog for some exercise and socialization. The Loch Haven Dog Park has one section for dogs 35 pounds and under, as well as an area for bigger dogs. There's also some agility equipment for dogs to play with and a watering station. You'll also see seating for pet parents and lots of trees that provide shade on hot days. Another source of shade in the park is a covered picnic pavilion, and there's a 0.4-mile walking track as well!

Red Mountain Park is a 1,500-acre space just outside the Garden Highlands neighborhood that offers several recreational opportunities, including 15 miles of trails and a six-acre dog park! Remy's Dog Park has a section for big dogs, a section for small dogs, and an additional section just for special needs pets. There are also water stations and waste disposal supplies provided by the park. Your dog can join you on the park's trails as well when they're on a leash.

This clean and green park is near downtown, and it's a lovely place to sit and read a book, sunbathe, and to walk your dog! You can access the Vulcan Trail in the Five Points South area of Birmingham, and this one-mile asphalt trail will take you along the ridge of Red Mountain. The trail runs below Vulcan Park, which is a ten-acre park you can check out with your dog on a leash as well.
