This breathtaking valley has hiking trails for all skill levels, and your leashed pup is welcome to explore with you. Or, take a trip to Papago Park, which has both on-leash and off-leash areas for your dog to enjoy.

West Cactus in Scottsdale is 6.3 miles from Paradise Valley. This neighborhood has plenty of pawsome shopping and dining opportunities. Scottsdale Quarter will take you through adorable boutiques and shops, and there are fun things to explore as you walk your leashed dog through the area, like water fountains and sidewalk cafes. Kierland Commons is also in the neighborhood, offering an outdoor mall with dog-friendly walking spaces for leashed pups. Some shops even allow your well-behaved pooch inside! When you’ve shopped ‘til you’ve dropped, grab a bit to eat at one of several paw-friendly restaurants, like Snooze an AM Eatery, which is pupular for its breakfast options.
Just under two miles from Paradise Valley, AZ, is the Traviata neighborhood in Scottsdale, AZ. If you’re in the neighborhood, you won’t want to miss heading to the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, which features history about the railroad that was once here and lots of fun activities and opportunities to explore. Your leashed pup is welcome to join you for a picnic, or run with you through the grassy fields and playground. Or, visit Scottsdale Seville for a unique shopping experience. This outdoor shopping area has plenty of fun places to check out and your leashed dog is welcome – just make sure he’s cleaned up after!
Four miles from Paradise Valley is McCormick Ranch, another neighborhood in Scottsdale. This area offers both outdoor fun and paw-friendly dining for you and your furry friend. At Mountain View Park, you can bring your kids and dog to enjoy sporting fields, playgrounds, and more. There’s even an exercise course that your pooch might want to challenge you on! Once you work up an appetite, you can head to Fired Pie for some of the best pizzas in town. If Italian cuisine is what you crave, try Andreoli Italian Grocer, which offers some delicious, authentic Italian foods and welcomes leashed dogs on the outdoor patio.
WestWorld in Scottsdale, AZ, is a little over ten miles from Paradise Valley. This neighborhood is home to Horizon Dog Park, a completely fenced dog park that has natural hills, plenty of shade, and even some doggie water fountains to help Fido cool off in the hot Arizona sun. Your dog can also join you at one of the year-round events at WestWorld Scottsdale. This event arena showcases everything from cars to horses, and leashed dogs are welcome to be part of the audience. At Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market, you and your dog can enjoy each other’s company for any meal of the day at one of the outdoor tables.
A little under eight miles from Paradise Valley is Paradise Valley Village in Phoenix, AZ. This is another great place to explore if you’re in the mood to shop, since the Paradise Valley Village Mall even welcomes small dogs inside to shop with their owners! Don’t worry – there’s plenty for big dogs, too. Like AZ Dog Sports, a spot where your dog can get trained and exercise in a one-of-a-kind facility. Or Pet Planet, a doggie health store with treats, food, and supplies galore. The neighborhood also has plenty of paw-friendly eateries with outdoor seating for your pooch, like Eastwind Sushi and Grill.
Have been a dog owner for 15 years and have experience dog sitting all different size dogs. I currently have a golden retriever who is extremely friendly and gets along great with other dogs. My goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable around me as my dog is. I will care for your dog as I would want someone to care for mine.
