Oasis Animal Hospital in Chandler, Arizona was founded by Ron Tenney, D.V.M in 1982. The clinic supports Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of those with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs including service dogs, skilled companions, hearing dogs, and facility dogs. CCI volunteer service dog breeder caretakers provide homes for the breeder dogs and whelp the puppies. Puppies are placed with and trained as service dogs by volunteer puppy raisers across the nation for socialization and obedience training. Oasis Animal Hospital is housed in a 5,000 square foot facility and employs five practicing veterinarians and ten veterinary nurses. Treatment services include weight loss, allergies, arthritis, gastrointestinal health, heartworm, urinary conditions, and oral and dental care. Dr. Tenney has advanced training in pain management and best practice anesthetic protocols. Another focus is on preventative medicine and dermatology.
