I have worked with dogs all my life. As a child I helped with a family business raising border collies, I spent a summer working for a vet and as an adult I have fostered numerous dogs for local rescues. I have been through handler training for service dogs, and genuinely love the time I spend with my puppy family. Currently I have 4 dogs that have made my home their furever home. I have trained all but one of them myself, and since walking a large pack is a skill, I have made it a priority to work on and maintain great leash manners for all my personal pack and any fosters I have had.

“meeting your dog is the highlight of my day :)”
I’m a microbiologist currently in between jobs and have recently moved back to my native Phoenix (I’ll miss you all, Columbus Wag pups!) with my spouse, dog, and three cats in tow. I care for your dogs (and cats!) as I do my own, and I aim to keep your pets happy and hydrated, and you well-informed with detailed reports and cute pictures. At this time by default I will wear a mask when inside your home and/or snuggling with your pets.

Tolleson is a small city in Arizona, about twelve miles out
of Phoenix. Home to two veterinarians, Tolleson is a great dog-friendly place
to explore and grab some food with your pup, either for a day or weekend.
Grab Fido and head to one of the amazing parks that Tolleson
has to offer for a great day out of exercise and fresh air. Tolleson Veterans
Park offers two picnic areas with benches and a grill, plus pavilions for
shade, a playground, multipurpose field, baseball field, and an amphitheater.
Make sure to walk along the trail that the park has to get a great walk in and
let your pup explore.
If you both get a little hungry while out and about in
Tolleson, stop into Pete's Fish and Chips. This pawsome restaurant serves fish
and chips, fried shrimp, seafood platters, and great sides. Their outdoor patio
welcomes your pup to join you for your tasty meal. Make sure to get a good
night’s rest while in Tolleson at one of the pet friendly hotels the city
offers. Both A Victory Inn Tolleson and Best Western Tolleson Phoenix allow
your pup to join you for a peaceful night in before continuing your adventure.
Four miles out of Tolleson on the outskirts of Phoenix is the Tres Rios Wetlands. This 480-acre wetlands is a habitat for wildlife and an area for purifying water. While visiting, your dog needs to stay leashed, but he will love all the trails that he can explore with you while visiting. The trails are a dirt and pebble surface trail which makes it perfect for any hiker to walk along. The wetlands does not provide shade or water, so make sure to take frequent breaks while hiking and bring plenty of water. You also need a permit before you visit.
Head out to the Avondale Friendship Dog Park in Avondale with Fido by your side. This pawsome dog park is only six miles out of Tolleson and a great spot to let your pup run around leash free. The park offers a big and little dog park so your pup can play with pups his own size. There is tons of space for your dog to run around, and plenty of shade to keep the both of you cool. If your dog isn't a fan of the park, then just hang around the surrounding Avondale Friendship Park which offers sports fields, a Japanese garden, and a nice walking trail.
If you both are craving something tasty to eat, check out Claim Jumper in Avondale. This dogtastic restaurant and saloon offers some great food like chicken pot pie, and they have signature cocktails. Grab some pizza at Pieology and create our own masterpiece with Fido by your side. If sushi is on your mind, then check out Yogis Grill which is a casual Asian eatery. They serve a variety of Japanese style food including tempura, noodles, teriyaki and sushi. All of these great restaurants offer dog friendly patios and love when your furry friend comes to dine with you.
The Estrella Mountain Regional Park is located in Goodyear, which is only seven miles out of Tolleson. This pawesome park offers both a normal park and a dog park for you and your pup to explore. The dog park is fenced in and offers grass for your pup to run around on, plus benches and shade for the owners to relax under. If you and your dog would rather get some exercise in, then attach Fido to his leash and explore the hiking trails that run throughout the park. Your pup will love sniffing around the mountains and hiking the trails. Make sure to bring water for your pup if you decide to hike since there isn't any shade and it can get hot.
Twelve miles out of Tolleson in Phoenix is the South Mountain Park and Preserve. This dogtastic park offers over 51-miles of trails that you and your pup can hike together. While hiking, your dog needs to stay on leash, but he will love the beautiful views he gets while hiking. The cool thing about this park is once a month they observe a silent Sunday and close the parks main access to motorized vehicles, making your outdoor adventure even better. If Fido would rather relax and enjoy a beautful view, then head to the Dobbins Lookout. With an elevation of 2,330-feet you and your pup will get a great view of the Phoenix Valley. If you are too pooped to make the climb, you can drive.
