West White Tank Mountain Road
If you’re searching for a beautiful place to hike with your dog in Waddell, White Tank Regional Park is perfect for you. This park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has 30 miles of shared-use trails. One of the most popular trails in the park is the mile-long Waterfall Trail, a paved trail that leads you to a unique desert waterfall. If you want to go on a longer hike, try the five-mile unpaved Mesquite Canyon trail or the 3.4-mile Mule Deer trail. No matter which trail you choose, you and your pup are sure to have a good time hiking here!

Stetson Valley
Stetson Valley is a residential neighborhood that’s home to a park with an off-leash area: Deem Hills Recreation Area. Located 26 miles from Waddell, this off-leash dog run includes separate areas for large and small dogs to play in. Bring water with you, and have a good time playing with your pup here. After your dog is finished playing, put their leash back on and take them for a walk on one of Deem Hills Recreation Area’s many stunning trails. One of the most popular trails is the 5.7-mile Deem Hills Circumference Trail, which takes you on a loop around the whole park. Or, if you want a shorter walk, try the 1.5-mile Ridgeline Trail, which is the highest trail in the park. Whichever trail you choose, you and your dog are sure to have fun here!

Orchards
If you’re looking for another furrific off-leash area for your pup, check out Community Park Dog Park. This park is 13 miles from Waddell, and it features separate small and large dog areas. Both areas have trees to protect your pup from the hot Arizona sun, and drinking water is available. Bring a tennis ball or Frisbee, and have a fun time playing with your pup here. If you want to get a bite to eat with your dog after the park, head to State 48 Brewery. This pub welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve delicious handcrafted burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas.

Madison Village
Just outside Phoenix's Madison Village, you'll find Granada Park, a great place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This park is 26 miles from Waddell, and it has paved pathways that take you past beautiful sculptures, lagoons, and wide-open fields. There’s also a picnic area where you can enjoy an al fresco meal with your pup. Bring water with you, and have a great time exploring this park! If you want to get your dog a special treat after the park, head to Kodi’s Natural Pet Foods. This locally-owned pet store sells natural and holistic dog treats, and they also have lots of fun dog toys. Your pup is sure to love shopping here!

Cedarbrook
When you’re in Cedarbrook, don’t make the faux paw of missing out on the nearby Pioneer Community Park Dog Park. This park is 14 miles from Waddell, and it includes two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh 30 pounds or less. If your pup gets thirsty while they’re playing in the park, water fountains are available. After the park, continue your fun day out with a drink and a snack at Driftwood Coffee Co., located in downtown. This casual café welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve a wide variety of coffee drinks, freshly-baked pastries, quiches, and bagels.
