Just south of Goodyear's commercial districts, you'll find a hidden gem that the local dogs have fallen head over paws for! Roscoe Dog Park is a large, off-leash dog park that's completely fenced in for Fido’s safety. Your pooch will love running and romping in one of two separate areas for small and large breeds. You'll find everything you'd expect from a pawesome dog park here: water, waste bags, benches, and night lighting. You will want to bring something for shade, since there is not much available at this park.

Estrella Mountain Ranch
If you and your pooch are looking for a new adventure in nature, you'll find one on the northwestern border of this neighborhood. The Estrella Mountain Regional Park is a sprawling park which welcomes leashed pooches to come and sniff around! A good place to start is the walking trails. You'll need to be cautious, because the terrain can be rocky and uneven in some areas, but the challenge is well worth it! You can marvel at the barktastic views you'll get of the mountains and undeveloped desert along the trails. Be sure to pack all of the essentials, such as extra water and waste bags for cleaning up.

North Mountain Village
This puptastic neighborhood, which is located 19 miles from Goodyear, is home to a sports complex that has a beautiful dog park on-site. The Rose Mofford Sports Complex has an off-leash dog park which encompasses 2.5 grassy acres. This park is fully fenced in and features separate areas for different sized dogs. Your pooch will enjoy running around by himself, or making friends with other canine that are at the park. This park has it all! There are shade trees for when your pooch gets too hot or just wants to nap, while owners have benches where they can relax and watch their pup play. There are also water fountains for thirsty pups and waste stations for easier clean up. Grab a ball and head over to this pawesome park!

Thunderbird Estates
This furrific neighborhood is a great place for you and Fido to get in some exercise. The Thunderbird Conservation Park has several hiking trails available for you and your pooch to enjoy. It is located 17 miles from Goodyear, and stretches across 1,185 acres of preserved desert land. Your pup will enjoy all of the wildlife on these trails, especially the birds flying. Some of the trails are shorter and much easier to tackle, while other trails have steep twists and turns and are for more experienced hikers and dogs. Don't fur-get the essentials, such as extra water, doggie waste bags, and something for shade if you need to stop along the way. Put on your hiking shoes and see how far you and your pooch can get!

Surprise
The furiffic city of Surprise, Arizona has a pawpular spot for dogs and owners to hang out. Community Park Dog Park is located just 14 miles from Goodyear, and is well worth the short drive. This dog park is an off-leash grassy area where your pooch can run around and have a blast! Seating and shade trees are available for added comfort. There are two separate areas in this park for different sized dogs. If your pooch gets thirsty, there is water available to drink. Make sure to bring waste bags for easier cleanup. The dog park is part of the larger community park located in the heart of Surprise, and is the pawfect place to enjoy a day full of fun in the sun!
