Animal care has been my lifelong passion, dogs being undoubtedly at the top of the list! I spent many years working in animal welfare, volunteering at local shelters, promoting low cost spay and neuter initiatives and working on the east coast to provide free dog houses, blankets and toys to backyard dogs in low income areas during the harsh winter months. I worked as a dog walker in Los Angeles and my family and I have always had our own dogs in addition to fostering and finding homes for strays and rescues. The unconditional love, comfort and tremendous fun dogs bring into our lives has always inspired me to help those in need and makes working with them such a joy!

Grab Fido and head out to Sorrento Park for a fun day out filled with fresh air and fun walks. Besides the shade coverings, the park does not have a lot of trees to keep Fido cool, so be sure to bring extra water.

For a change of scenery, Pacana Park features 28-acres filled with sports fields, a playground, running path, and open grass.

Stop by Honeycutt Coffee if you are in need of a hot cup of coffee and a tasty pastry before continuing your day with your adventurous pup.  If you're both craving something sweet, head into Dairy Queen and get yourself and Fido an ice cream cone. Both of these pawsome eateries offer dog friendly tables where Fido and you can relax together.

If you need a place to stay for the night, check out Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Resort. They welcome Fido to stay with you before continuing on your adventure.

With the great food options and beautiful parks, Fido will love hanging around Maricopa with you.
