The town of Steilacoom is located in Pierce County, Washington and prides itself in its safe, friendly vibes. Being the oldest incorporated town in Washington, there is a large historic district which only contributes to the small town charm. But this is more than just another small town. From here, you can enjoy gorgeous views of the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound. This town is also the proud home to many public parks, making it a sitch to raise a happy, healthy dog here!

One of the favorite parks for residents and their dogs is the Saltars Point Park. This park is stretched out along 500 feet of scenic saltwater shoreline your pup can dip his or her paws in. The park also features a pretty footbridge, restrooms, picnic areas and drinking water. Another pawrific park to pass through on your morning walk with Fido is Charlie’s Park. This small park features wooden steps and benches, with views of the dock below. If you’d like to brush up on Steilacoom’s geographical information, check out the signs posted along the way! Leashed dogs are welcome throughout both of these parks.

If you’re out and about with your pup and you’ve worked up an appetite, no need to worry! The Steilacoom Deli and Pub welcomes dogs on their outdoor patio. This restaurant offers pub food and a charming, “dive” atmosphere.

With some many lovely parks and accessible nature in the area, dog owners love calling Steilacoom home.
