“A tired dog is a happy dog!”
Hi I'm Ashley! I have 6+ years working with animals. I started my career at Paws Atlanta Animal shelter as a kennel technician. I'm a trail runner, wife, and mom with a big heart and love for the outdoors and dogs. I know an active and well-socialized dog means a happier, healthier, and much better behaved dog for you to come home to. That's why I'm here to take your energetic pooches out into the world to do all the things dogs love to do - run, play, sniff, chase, dig, roll, and swim.

“Taking care of your furry friends for you!”
Hi fellow dog lovers! As a Aussie parent,, I know how important it is both to your pup and to you to have quality interactions, fun and exercise. I am an active guy who does triathlons and marathons and love to have my dog go along with me as I train. Your furry companion will get the same attention, love, fun and care as mine does when we go out. I'm equally at ease on a neighborhood walk or a long hike at a local park; whatever your dog needs they will get as if they were my own.

It should go without saying that I absolutely love dogs. A lot. One of my favorite childhood pictures is of me taking a nap on my babysitter's American Bulldog. Since then, I've learned to walk on my own and have learned that I'm quite good at walking dogs, too. As the owner of a very excitable and social pit bull, I've also developed a keen understanding of just how complex dogs can be. Over the last two years, I've also learned to see the world through their eyes to set up every dog I encounter for success.

Surprising to some, Madison has been recognized as one of the “10 Best Towns for Family” by Family Circle magazine. Madison, AL is a place of natural beauty, a place to enjoyed by both man and his best friend.
The city of Madison maintains a small park for the benefit of dogs and their owners. Mill Creek Dog Park, on Balch Road, has three separate areas. The staging area at the park’s entrance provides owners a place to unleash their pets before entering the play areas. One play area caters to smaller dogs 25 pounds or under, while the other is set up for bigger dogs weighing more than 25 pounds. Both humans and pets can get a drink of water at the park and dog waste bag dispensers are provided for the owners’ convenience.
The city’s Park & Recreations Department maintains miles of greenways and trails winding in and around the city. Pets are welcome on most trails, but they should be kept on leashes at all times.
Not only does Bruster’s Real Ice Cream welcome dogs to their establishment, they even offer free sundaes, topped with crumbled dog bones, for all their furry friends. Both Pie in the Sky Pizzeria & Pub and Bison’s Cafe allow dogs on their outdoor patios.
Several motels in Madison welcome pets, such as the Red Roof Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn & Suites, Best Western Plus Hotel, Econo Lodge and Country Hearth Inn. Most places charge a fee for each pet, with the exception of Red Roof Inn & Suites where pets stay for free. Each motel has its own policy regarding pet stays, so make sure you verify reservations for both you and your pets.
Madison, AL is a beautiful place, one that you and your pet can explore together.
One of Madison’s most popular dog friendly neighborhoods is Capitol View Heights. We have one HUGE guess why this is. On most days, you will find a lot of neighborhood locals hanging out at a local park. Quann Park is located in the Capitol View Heights neighborhood. This park boasts over 70 acres of fun for the whole family. In fact, about 37 of those acres are fenced off for the popular, off leash dog park, Quann Dog Park. There is also a small enclosed area at the dog park that lets dogs experience the beauty of Wingra Creek. This Madison neighborhood is also host of the annual Capital K9s Dog Paddle. This event helps fund the Madison Police Department K9 Unit. If one thing is for sure, Capitol View Heights residents love their pawsome furry family members!
Do you and your pup enjoy living the “country life”, complete with front porch sitting? If so, you two will want to check out the Norman Acres neighborhood in Madison. This Madison neighborhood is also a host of the Pier Pups Canine Dock Jumping event. This event has taken place all over the country, including places like Chicago and Michigan. Norman Acres also offers dog friendly options when you want to grab a bite to eat. Places like the Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill near East Towne Mall is a super dog friendly dining option. Even if you are just visiting the area, you will find most lodging options also are very dog friendly!
If you’re looking for the small hometown feel with scenic views you will love the Greenbush neighborhood in Madison. This dog friendly neighborhood is home of the pawpulor off-leash dog park, Brittingham Dog Park. While this park is off-leash, it isn’t fenced in and your dog will require a permit to romp and play with his friends. On most days, you’ll find locals letting their furry best friends run and play at the park. If you and your pup are looking for exercise with a scenic view, you will want to check out the historic Southwest Bike Trail. Leashed, well behaved pups are allowed to enjoy the trails with you.
Tenney-Lapham is a beautiful, dog friendly neighborhood that sits on Madison’s Lake Mendota. While here, you and your pooch will want to visit Demetral Park. This community park boasts almost 50 acres of fun for you and your pal, including a nice off-leash dog park where you will meet friendly local residents and tail waggin’ pups! Not only does the Tenney-Lapham neighborhood have one dog park, it has two! While in the area, make sure your pup has plenty of opportunity to sniff around the popular, off leash McCormick Greenway Dog Park. Around every corner, you’re almost guaranteed to see beautiful scenery and a tail wag or two!
Mendota Hills is a popular neighborhood in Madison. This neighborhood is home to one of the most popular parks in Madison, Warner Park. The community hosts a number of events here. There’s no question as to why -- Warner Park is over 200 acres! Most places in this park are great for snifftastic fun. Plus, leashed dogs are allowed in most areas. There is also off-leash fun at the fenced-in dog park. Mendota Hills also sits on the beautiful Lake Mendota, the largest lake in Madison. If you and your pooch want to grab a bite to eat, make sure you stop by Banzo -- you won’t regret it!
