Barstow is a great tourist town to hang out in with your furry pal. The town is known as the Inland Empire since several major highways all pass through this one city. Sitting in San Bernardino County, Bartsow is the midway point between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. With three veterinarians in town, your dog will be in good hands while you hang out in Barstow.

Your dog will love visiting the Waterman Park alongside you. This lovely park is filled with BBQs, a picnic area, and an open grass field. There are plenty of trees to help give the two of you shade while you explore, and a nice walking trail along the park where you and Fido can get a walk in while you visit.

This huge park offers a baseball field, playground, a picnic area with BBQs, and a large grass field/ There is a paved walking trail around that park that you two can use for a walk together.

Make sure that when you are out at the Barstow Heights Park to keep your dog on a leash, and don't forget to bring your water and clean-up bags along with you.

Lenwood Park is filled with a basketball court, covered picnic area, and a nice walking trail that can be used for a walk alongside your pup. Remember to keep your dog on a leash when you visit both of these parks, and don't forget to bring water along with you since there isn't a lot of shade.

    If Fido is looking to get a good hike in alongside you, head over to the Owl Canyon Trail. This pawsome trail is 3.3-miles long with a 472-foot elevation gain on an out and back route. The trail will take you through a canyon and near campgrounds where you and your pup can stop for a break and enjoy the grounds. If Fido wants to continue adventuring, you can grab a campsite at the Owl Canyon Campground. Make sure to bring plenty of water along with you since this is a hike through the desert, and there isn't shade available.
