San Juan Capistrano was created around the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano which helped give the town the aesthetic that it has today. While San Juan Capistrano is known for having the most variety of homes in Orange County, including homes built before the 1900s and some adobes from the 18th century, the town's real claim to fame is the annual migration of the swallows, which have been swarming the mission and town for centuries. With a plethora of dog friendly restaurants and parks, it is no wonder you and Fido want to visit this cute historical town. Home to twelve veterinarians, San Juan Capistrano will be the perfect place for you and your furry pal.

Grab Fido and head out to Reata Park for a fun day out that will also help your furry friend get some exercise in. Reata Park features a native garden and an arboretum with oak and sycamore trees. The park has a beautiful paved walking trail around it, and also offers bathrooms and a picnic area.

If Fido is more in the mood of relaxing and enjoying a nice meal with you, then check out the numerous different dog friendly restaurants that San Juan Capistrano has to offer. Cafe Mozart dishes out some tasty European inspired food, and even offers a variety of German and Austrian beer. They have a beautiful courtyard that welcomes Fido to join you for a meal.
