“Why work with people when you can work with dogs”

Hi there my names is Cody. I’m 30 yrs old and live in South Orange County with my two rescue pit bulls. Ive been working with dogs for over 10 years now and have gained a lot of experience and training. For 6 years I worked as a floor supervisor at a doggie daycare here in south oc and through them I was properly trained to give baths, trim nails, administer insulin shots and oral meds. Dog Walking in Laguna Hills

Like many cities in Orange County, Laguna Hills is a scenic, coastal locale, which makes it the pawfect vacation destination for both people and pooches! As you and your dog walk down the sidewalks in the residential areas of this affluent city, you'll likely find plenty of beautiful, multi-million-dollar houses to admire. The pups who live in them are well cared for at Laguna Hills' three animal hospitals.

If you're just looking to visit rather than settle down, check out the Hills Hotel. This dog-friendly hotel only allows small dogs to stay for an extra fee, but doesn't restrict how many dogs you can bring. For a little more flexibility, check out Laguna Hills' AirBnB rentals. Individual accommodations have different pet policies and fees.

If you want to chow down with your hound in Laguna Hills, you're in luck! You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to dog-friendly restaurants. Enjoy some fresh seafood at King's Fish House or Rubio's Coastal Grill, or share a slice at California Pizza Kitchen or Terra Mia Pizzeria. Craving something more exotic? Natraj Cuisine of India and Lulu's Creperie Cafe welcome four-footed diners. Teddy's Deli is a great place to go for a quick lunch. All restaurants welcome leashed dogs at outdoor seating areas.

Walk off those extra calories at Beckenham Park, which welcomes leashed dogs. For off-leash fun, you'll have to to travel a short distance outside Laguna Hills, but no one ever complained about cruising around California's beautiful Orange County!

What better way to spend a day with your dog than playing fetch on the beach? If you and your pup are craving some playtime in the sand and sun, head to San Onofre State Beach, located approximately 21 miles away from Laguna Hills in South San Clemente. You'll need to keep your dog on their leash at all times and clean up their messes while you're here. You'll find parking nearby, as well as a rinse station for washing the sand out of Fido's fur before heading back home.

Looking for a good ol' fashioned dog park? Laguna Beach Dog Park is located just a short 7-mile drive away from Laguna Hills. There's plenty of room for your pup to run and romp in this grassy off-leash park. It's also well-shaded, which is a necessity for those hot California days. The rules are pretty strict; dogs must have a current license, and they have to be leashed when entering or exiting the park. Another obvious rule is that you have to pick up after your pup. Water and waste stations are provided. Be aware that the park is closed on Wednesdays due to maintenance.

Like most dog parks, this off-leash dog park features two separate areas for small and large breeds. Most of the necessities are provided here, including shade, benches, and doggie water fountains. You'll just need to bring your own waste bags, as well as plenty of energy to run and play with your pup. Huntington Beach is also home to an off-leash dog beach, so be sure to stop by if you're looking to enjoy some fun in the sun with your pooch!

Fullerton Pooch Park is a little further afield at 27 miles away, but this highly rated dog park is a furrific place to play off-leash! The locals love this dog park, so your pup is sure to make some new friends here. This park is securely fenced so dogs can roam safely off-leash. Water, bowls, and some toys are provided, but you'll need to bring the doggie waste bags. Another great perk of this park is its night lighting, so you and Fido can play after dark. Pet parents have plenty of shaded seating where they can rest and relax while watching their furry friends play.

Looking for a dog park closer to Laguna Hills? You'll find the Central Bark Dog Park just 8 miles away, in Irvine's Orangetree neighborhood. This spacious park has plenty of grass for your pup to play in and explore. There are three separate areas here: one for small breeds, and two for larger dogs. Doggie water fountains are provided here, but locals note that they can leak and make dogs' paws muddy. You may want to bring some of your own just in case. Other than that, though, this off-leash park is very clean and loved by locals, so come on out and let Fido make some new fur-iends!
