The Modjeska Community Park is less of a park and more of a nice area of nature where you and Fido can hang out. This park has a fenced in playground and a nice walking trail that takes you up a great hill. This park is perfect to bring Fido to for a good walk before continuing your day. The Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in the canyon offers a science center, amphitheater, and three hiking trails for you and your pup to enjoy. The trails offer picnic tables and benches for you both to relax on if you need to take a break. While visiting the sanctuary, your dog needs to stay on leash.

Trabuco Canyon

The Falls Canyon Trail offers an 11.4-mile hike near Tujunga that features a great view of a waterfall. This out and back hike is generally not very busy, making it ideal for shy pups. You and Fido will be getting a good workout on this trail since it has an 3,106-foot elevation gain. Once you reach the waterfall, you will be greeted with a river that you both can jump in to cool down. Fido needs to stay on a leash while hiking this great trail, and don't forget water since the trail can get hot.

Santiago Canyon

The Oak Canyon Park is the perfect spot to take Fido out if he wants to skip on the hiking and just enjoy a nice park for the day. This park is a massive 750-acres with forested mountains and a lake. While there, you can fish and camp, plus there is plenty of green space for your pooch to run around in. The Oak Canyon Park is occasionally used for events like car shows, so if Fido isn't a fan of crowds, you may want to check the calendar before you go. Don't forget clean-up bags when you visit.

Foothill Rancho

If you and Fido begin to get a little hungry, stop into the Foothill Ranch neighborhood in the neary town of Lake Forest to check out these delicious options. Pick Up Stix offers American Chinese classic cuisine with vegetarian options. Cuca's Mexican Food dishes out fresh Mexican dishes made from family recipes daily. Chipotle Mexican Grill offers customized Mexican fare so you and Fido can get your food just the way you like. All of these pawsome restaurants have dog friendly patios and welcome your pup to join you for a tasty meal. Located only twelve miles out of Silverado, these spots are sure to please.

Northwood Point

The Lakeview Park is on the outskirts of Silverado in Irvine, just five miles out of Silverado, and a phenomenal park to take your pup to for a fun day out. This pawsome park is located on the Irvine Lake and offers multiple sports fields, a miniature golf course, and Frisbee golf. There's plenty of shade to help keep you and Fido cool, and benches so you both can relax together while visiting. Make sure to bring plenty of water and clean-up bags with you. Your dog is going to love a walk around this park.
