Silverado has been a California Historical Landmark since it was originally mined for silver in the late 19th and early 20th century. This lovely town is located in the Santa Ana Mountains within the Silverado Canyon, giving you and Fido the perfect escape from the busy L.A. area. Filled with great hiking trails, your pup is going to love hanging out in Silverado. Although there are no veterinarians within Silverado, just down the road in Irvine there is a plethora to visit.
The Silverado Park is a great spot to let your dog get a good walk in and have a nice day by your side. The park offers a swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, and some sports fields where Fido can run in the grass. The park is small, but it has a nice walking path that the two of you can enjoy together.
If Fido wants to get a good hike in, check out the Black Star Canyon Trail. This 6.8-mile trail is an out-and-back route that is filled with caves, wildlife, a waterfall, and an awesome forest to travel through. With a 925-foot elevation gain, the trail is labeled as hard and can take some time for you and Fido to finish.
With the beautiful parks and amazing trails, your pup is going to love hanging out in Silverado.
