Lazy Creek

Tire out that excitable pup at The Menifee Dog Park located in Menifee, just three miles out of Sun City. This pawsome dog park is filled with agility equipment for your pup to play on and trees to help keep Fido cool. This pawsome dog park is separated into two, so big and little dogs can play with pups their own size. With picnic tables and benches inside the park, you can kick your feet up while your dog has a fun time off leash. The park is filled with dirt, so Fido may come home a little dirty, and don't forget to bring some water so your pup can stay hydrated. 

Menifee Lake II

Located on the opposite side of Menifee is the Aldergate Dog Park. This puptastic dog park is filled with grass so Fido can roll around off leash and have a great time. If you're worried about your smaller dog interacting with much larger dogs, this dog park has separated areas for large and small breeds. The park also includes benches for owners, doggie bags in case you forget yours, and water fountains so everybody can stay hydrated while visiting. If your pup isn't in the mood for the dog park, you can still get a good walk in. Outside of the dog park is a nice walking trail that you and Fido can enjoy, plus bathrooms and a playground.

Canyon Lake

The beautiful town of Canyon Lake, and the lake of the same name are great to visit with Fido by your side, and only five miles out of Sun City. Though Canyon Lake is surrounded by parks, Harrelson Park is where you're going to want to be. The park has access to the lake, as well as restrooms, a fishing dock, and a picnic area. Fido will love the opportunity to splash in the water while visiting this park, but if he isn't a fan of the water, you can still enjoy the nice walking path that winds throughout the park.

Canyon Hills

If hunger strikes when you and your pup are in Canyon Lake, then you're in luck since there are two pawsome dog friendly restaurants here. The Sports Stop Pub and Grill actually encourages their guests to bring their dogs along with them for a bite to eat. They serve tradition America fare like chicken, salads, and grilled cheese. VIP's Cafe is a cute family-owned restaurant that dishes out breakfast, lunch, and dinner with menu favorites like French toast or burgers. Both these great eateries have dog friendly patios so Fido can dine along side you.

Adela

Nestled in the Cleveland National Forest is the Morgan Trail, which is a quiet and moderately difficult trail to hike along with Fido. Located in Lake Elsinore and only fifteen miles out of Sun City, your pup will love hiking this trail with you. The trail is 6-miles long, with an out and back route, and typically takes about 2.5 hours to complete. The trail is one of the less crowded trails to hike in the Cleveland National Forest, giving you and your pup some solitude. While hiking, you will get beautiful views of Lake Elsinore and the Mountains of San Jacinto.
