Grapevine Hollow

There’s tail-wagging fun in Evans’ Grapevine Hollow neighborhood, about a mile from Garden City! If you and your pup want a puptacular place to walk, visit Grapevine Open Space. This natural area has a paved path and open grass area where you and your leashed pooch can burn off some energy! Just a block away, Vineyard Park is another woofderful spot to walk with your dog. The five acre park has a pond with a paved path around it, plus a huge field where you and your furry friend can play. If you have two-legged children along with you, they’ll love Vineyard Park’s playground. Pack a picnic and enjoy a snack at the covered picnic tables!

F Street/ Stoneybrook

Off-leash fun is just a stone’s throw away from Garden City! Check out Rover Run Dog Park in Greeley’s F Street/ Stoneybrook neighborhood, about three miles from Garden City. This three-acre, fully fenced-in off-leash area has plenty of room for pups to play fetch or frolic with new furry friends! There are benches, too, where humans can chill out. You’ll want to bring water for you and your pup at this dog park. Just outside the park, you and your leashed dog can hop on the Poudre River Trail for a tail-wagging hike! This paved multi-use trail starts in Greeley and meanders some 21 miles westward, so you and Fido will have plenty of path to explore!

Glenmere - Fairacres

A park, a pond and a path is what you’ll find in Greeley’s Glenmere – Fairacres neighborhood! Just three miles from Garden City, this neighborhood’s Glenmere Park is a pawsome place to visit with your leashed pup. You and your furry friend will love making a few laps around the park’s paved walking path that loops around the perimeter and a serene pond. There are mature trees that line the walkway, so shade is readily available in warmer months. It’s a pawpular place for dog walking, so you and your pup may even meet a few new fur-iendly faces! Glenmere Park has a playground, picnic tables and tons of squirrels and waterfowl to keep things exciting for your pooch.

West Greeley

Leash your pooch and visit some of Greeley’s best natural areas in the West Greeley neighborhood, about three miles from Garden City. River Bluffs Open Space is a pawsitively beautiful place, with grassy meadows, mature trees, a pond and stunning views of the Cache la Poudre River! Conveniently, there are also indoor restrooms, interpretive signs and a water fountain at River Bluffs Open Space. This area is a favorite among local recreationists because of its access to the 21-mile Poudre River Trail. Gateway Lakes

For a woofderful scenic walk, head to Greeley’s Gateway Lakes neighborhood, just three miles from Garden City! This area’s Gateway Lakes Natural Area offers stunning views while you and your leashed dog stroll around the beautiful pond. This wetland area is pawpular for birdwatching, so keep your eyes peeled for songbirds, waterfowl and birds of prey. Lush grasses and trees line the walkway, making it a pleasant place for a jaunt with lots of things for Fido to sniff along the way. For a more developed park, check out the adjacent Homestead Park, where you’ll find paved walking paths and a playground.
