Get a good day of exercise in on the Fraser River Trail. The trail is 12.8-miles long with a 597-foot elevation gain. While hiking, you will walk along the Fraser River where you both can camp if you desire to. The route type is out and back, making it an easier hike if you and your pup are new to the hiking scene. The trail is popular with trail runners and mountain bikers, so keep an eye on your furry pal while roaming the trail. Make sure to bring water with you and wear proper equipment since snow can be on the trail during the winter.

Smith Creek

The Granby Trails offers some great amenities for you and your pup. The trails offer a great walking, biking, or fishing area for owners and their dogs, and are open from 7 a.m. to dusk daily. The trails sit along the Smith Creek, giving your pup the perfect opportunity to jump in and cool off while you are roaming the trails. Make sure to keep Fido on a leash while you are hiking since the trails do have a strict set of guidelines. Don't forget your clean-up bags for your pup.

The park also offers two playgrounds, a skate park, and sports fields. There is grass for fetch and a great paved walking path around the park where you and Fido can get a walk in before heading home. If you get a bit tired, there are a few benches scattered throughout the park so you and Fido can rest. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you.

Main Street

If you and Fido are hanging around Main Street and get a bit hungry, stop in Strip and Tail for a delicious meal together. This pawsome eatery is known for their seafood and steak. They have a great menu that specializes in seafood, including scallops, with delicious sides and homemade bread that Fido will be begging for a taste of. Open everyday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., this eatery is perfect for lunch or dinner with your furry pal. They also have a large outdoor patio that welcomes your furry friend to dine alongside you.

Park Lane

Kaibab Park is a great park to head out to with Fido for an awesome day out together. The park has tons of amenities, like 2 softball fields that are lighted, 1 baseball field, a fishing pond that is catered towards kids, and a covered picnic area. If your pup is in need of a walk, check out the walking trail that will take you through the park and out towards the Fraser River. There are benches to relax on, perfect for after a walk. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you and don't forget your clean-up bags.
