This literary named city may sound frightening, but it is anything but. It offers plenty of dining, entertainment, recreation and shopping 10 miles east of Allens Corner overlooking the Fox River. Schweitzer’s Woods Forest Preserve is close by and is a really neat space to take your dog for on-leash exercise on their hiking trails, and their on-site dog park is a 5-acre space where your pup can scratch and sniff off leash! The Fox River Trail is another great outing you can enjoy with your leashed pup. It’s a long multipurpose activity trail that used to be an old railroad!
